We took a day trip from Santa Fe to Taos along the high road...a beautiful easy drive with great views of the valley and surrounding mountains. We had read about this funky little restaurant and so were intrigued to stop for a late lunch. I had the best grilled cheese sandwich ever.. oozing with 3 different cheeses and a wonderful,... More

If you dig Applebee's, IHOP or Red Robin, head on down the road. Sugar Nymph is not your typical eatery and that is what makes is so great. The sandwiches are wonderful and the deserts are worthy of a cafe in New York, actually probably better. We even got a desert to go for later in the day. But what... More

Not sure what more to do than give this place 5 stars and say "Really Excellent", but here goes... The is an amazing place. Cool atmosphere, even cooler location on the way up from Sante Fe to Taos. The staff were so nice and pleasant. The chef even chatted with us. The food was the very hard to find combination... More

The food was exceptional, however, the service was very poor! The ambiance was quaint. There was a children's theatre group going on so we enjoyed watching the children practice their skills on stilts. We sat outdoors on the patio and waited patiently to be waited on finally after about 15 minutes I went in and got my own menu. The... More

On our way from Santa Fe to Taos--the high road is a delightful day trip. We stopped at Sugar Nymphs for lunch and we couldn't have been happier. The grilled cheese and gingerade made a wonderful lunch. Dessert of chocolate pecan pie was the perfect ending.

For the last eight years we have celebrated Valentine's at Sugar Nymphs Bistro. I make reservations well in advance for this small restaurant in the mountains 45 minutes from our home. The menu is always limited with multiple courses and the food has often been exceptional. We enjoy the personal touches by the owners/chefs and always look forward to their... More

Upon your arrival you will see a large sign on the building with an image of a Hamas soldier holding a missile in his hand flashing the victory sign. The sign says "End U.S. Military Aid to Israel" I drove to Penasco specifically to eat there for the first time and was greeted by this inappropriate and disgusting view of... More

Surprisingly good restaurant in a very small farming town. Very nice service, short menu of fresh food with organic options. We had a great burger. They also served pies and treats that looked good.

This is a comfortable place to enjoy a tasty meal. We had the nectarine/chicken/goat cheese/pecan salad and the corn quiche. Both were excellent! Accompany your meal with one of the lemonade mixtures - we had the cranberry and the blueberry - and can recommend both. Too full for dessert, but everything looked really good and fresh. The scones they give... More

Had Sunday brunch. Every dish we ordered was great. The blueberry scones were fantastic. We had a extra bonus today because there was a parade in town while we were eating. If you are anywhere in the area, Sugar Nymphs is well worth the stop.
