Stop here. That's an order!

If you are driving the high road to Taos, I definitely recommend stopping for a burger and piece of carrot cake. The service was a little slow, but the wait was worth it.

Funky place at far Northern end of the old Santa Fe - to - Taos High Road. Not many restaurants in this highway & this funky little country cafe serves good food & exceptional desserts. While service is usually friendly, it can be spotty. Note: if you are in this area, we prefer Zuly's Cafe in Dixon. Equally good desserts... More

I live over 1000 miles from Sugar Nymphs. I've been there twice in the last six weeks and I can't get there carrot cake off of my mind. A sublime experience. Northern New Mexico at its best. Best cheeseburger I've ever eaten! All dishes are wonderful!!

A restaurant of this caliber you would expect to find in New York, or Los Angeles, or Santa Fe, or even Taos, but NOT in the rural hinterlands of northern New Mexico. I have been a regular diner here for several years, and all I can say is you won't be disappointed. The owners, Ki and Kai, both professionally trained... More

Connie and I needed to 'get out of Dodge' for lunch. We debated for about an hour on where to eat and what route to take since we were on the motorcycle. We had ridden by the Sugar Nymphs many times and had heard it was 'good' so we decided to give it a try. The ambiance is funky but... More

Funky interior, delicious foods, and great service! We enjoyed the goat cheese salad served with a light, hot, toasty slice of foccacia and a green chili burger -- yum! We took two pieces of fabulous cake to go: carrot and chocolate. I'm not much of a cake fan but these were absolutely delicious! I highly recommend Sugar Nymphs!

I am still amazed that a restaurant of this quality is located in a somewhat remote area away from town. We stopped for lunch during an art tour. We shared the Zuni stew, a sort of chile with peppers, onions, squash topped with a grilled chicken sausage. It was served with a focaccia and was very good. They charged us... More

This was a nice stop. Dog-friendly patio. Split a sandwich so you can have dessert and split that too as they are both huge!!

My husband and I ate an early dinner at Sugar Nymphs Bistro after exploring the High Road Artisans Tour. At least 2 of the artists recommended this restaurant, so we drove there. The goat cheese salad and beef dish with mashed potatoes are what my husband and I had. We got the chocolate cake to go. The food was fresh... More

My husband and I both had hamburgers here. These were excellent! The buns were homemade, and the burgers were cooked to perfection! Stop here on your High Road to Taos Scenic Byway tour. You won't regret it.
