I really hate to give this place such a bad rating, because our waiter was such a wonderful person, but he was clearly overworked as the restaurant was abysmally understaffed. There was a large crowd of bawdy bikers staying at the motel next to the Little Toad and the restaurant was packed with other travelers as well. I would say... More

We stopped here to have lunch after returning from the Gila Cliff Dwellings. Was great food. The service was great, very friendly! If you are in a hurry don't plan on a fast meal. We had a group of 11 and it did take quite a while for the meals to come out. All the orders were correct and very... More

Our second time in three years enjoying their terrific fare: shrimp poblano awhile ago, this time tried asian salad with home-smoked salmon, ribeye steak, burger and couscous primavera with pesto---all fabulous, all served beautifully and cooked to perfection. And their "toadstool" appetizer, portqbella mushroom stuffed with herb cheeses and lightly beer-batter fried, was my husband's favorite. Also their homebrewed porter... More

We attended the annual hummingbird festival at the Little Toad Inn and Tavern in the mimbres. It was quite interesting and lots of fun finding out all about these wonderful creatures! We ate lunch there, and even though they were full with all the visitors, the service was excellent, as well as the food. It was such a great surprise... More

We ate 3 meals here. Lunch and dinner were excellent. But breakfast was lack luster. Don't know what's up with that, but they make their own beers and they are good. We are vegetarians and they did have food for us here. Atmosphere is lovely and this has got to be the best place to eat in town.

Stopped in at the resturant for a quick snack on our way to the Gila cliff dwellings. We decided that the "toadstool" and "roasted veggie chutney" appetizers sounded great, and it was far better than expectations. Paired with their own "small batch" porter, these gourmet appetizers really delivered. The toadstool, a fried, bredded portobello mushroom with a succulent herbed goat... More

We stayed the night and ate dinner in the restaurant as it is in middle of nowhere. We had the fish and chips which were excellent - great beer batter and beautiful, excellent slaw with fries on the side. The food was fresh, extremely well prepared and delicious. It was attractive presentation as well. They didn't have a kids menu... More

Memorial day weekend 2014, my wife and I were out in this beautiful area staying at the Georgetown Cabins and exploring the area lakes. Monday morning we decided to go have brunch at the Little Toad. We got there early and sat in our truck until they opened. Sitting there just taking in the beauty of the area I guess... More
