It might be the oldest but it certasinly isn't the best

I went there for an early lunch. The chips were stale and the salsa was watered down. Two bites and I pushed them away. I ordered the red enchilada. Pancake Style? That was nothing but a stack of corn tortillas with just a hint of sauce and cheese. The rice was flavorless and the beans were... read more

This is authentic Mexican food, not some Americanized chain location. Explore the old town with lots of history, then dine on reasonably priced food. You will feel as if you are in a restaurant in Mexico.

I have stopped trying to find good food at this restaurant. There are so many restaurants in the area serving far better Mexican and New Mexican cuisine. While the interior is charming and should be seen once, it doesn't make sense to frequent this venue.

This beautifully decorated and exciting atmosphere restaurant has something for everyone and the kids will love the birds and fish in the Lobby. All the rooms are different and the love and care of this family-owned restaurant is obvious everywhere. Cultural touches are amazing, the drinks are exceptional only to be outdone by the menu and recipes handed down for... More

This is truly an authentic Mexican food restaurant in New Mexico. The Pomblano Peppers filled with Monterey cheese, egg-battered, and deep fried with ared chili & green chili sauce was INCREDIBLE! That was all I ate and I was satisfied, as well as pleased. The service is great! The atmosphere is great! Highly recommended for a visit if you like... More

Historic little town and square with a lot of history. Buildings and decor all authentic old Southwest. This restaurant is in old building with a grand past. And the service, ambiance was superb, but the food was outstanding too! Do not miss and take some time to explore the area. A hidden gem.

Our trip to Mesilla included a stop at La Posta and even after reading previous reviews, we felt that the ambiance and "flavor" of the restaurant was a good choice. So be aware of the choice made in selecting this place. Interesting old place, a bit dusty and looking tired and not as well maintained as it could be but... More

We only got drinks here but I was disappointed in the sangria. It tasted watery and had too much peach snapps in it for me. I think my daughter liked her margarita but it wasn't the best she had ever had.

The atmosphere at this old jewel is truly New Mexico! My wife and I had supper in an outdoor courtyard under the night sky. The food was pretty good, but the atmosphere was outstanding! A must experience.
