As locals, we chose to take an out-of town guest to La Posta on his one night in New Mexico. As he never had eaten a green chile cheeseburger, three of chose to have them. Though I had ordered mine as medium, it was well done. All the burgers resembled hockey pucks and had minimal very, very mild green chile.... More

Always a good crowd and good Tex-Mex food. The birds are a nice touch. Been stopping here for years and it is a must for us.

It wasn't a perfect experience, but you've really got to visit and eat at this place at least once. We were road-trippers passing through with just one night in the Las Cruces area, so one of our local friends recommended this as the first place to consider for dinner. They have lots of national accolades and they promote them all... More

I had eaten here as a kid with my family. Was visiting Las Cruces and decided to eat here. Help was rude from the minute I walked in. Asked for table for one and when I said I had no reservation, was looked at like I was a leper. Then rushed by server to eat and go. Never going back.... More

Worth a stop when passing through Las Cruces. The restaurant has been family owned for 75 years. The food is good and the setting is quite charming.

The three of us enjoyed lunch in the La Posta Lava Room. The Posole and Caldillo were superb. The chips, salsa, and flour tortillos were very good. We were very impressed with the decor. The restaurant has ample parking and the seating is done efficiently. The value given was excellent.

The Inside has atmosphere making you feel like you stepped into old Mesilla. The menu was huge with something for everyone. It was a great place to meet up with family after a morning of shopping.

While I'm not a great Mexican food fan, La Posta offers a bright, colorful atmosphere. There are decorations that give a nod to the Day of the Dead holiday, caged exotic birds in the lobby, and history to read about regarding the building itself. The food has always been tasty, although from time to time the service lacks. This is... More

I like the food, the seafood fajita was very good. Crowded place, get their early. We did not have to wait long, but finding parking is a challenge.

Great place to take out of town visitors. The mood of the restaurant is so authentic. We ordered two large bowls of queso with corn tortillas. Very good! Not a bad looking plate on our table. We had everything from quesadillas to fajitas and everything in between. A few needed that last bit of sweet and ordered sopapillas. They were... More
