When passing through Las Cruces for a one night stopover we asked the clerk at our hotel for suggestions about where to eat. He immediately told us that there was only one place he was going to recommend and this was it. It was a little difficult to find at first in the dark and when we saw quite a... More

While visiting friends in New Mexico, my wife and I spent time walking around the old town. Of course we got hungry and decided to have lunch at La Posta. What a wonderful surprise. Not only was the food good and the waitress attentive, but inside the restaurant there were so many things to look at. That in itself kept... More

Been hearing about this place for years so when we went to Las Cruces we made it a point to go by. Well worth seeking out. The décor is fascinating. It's easy to get lost in there. The food is outstanding. I love posole and theirs is outstanding. My wife loved her shrimp ceviche. And our server, Amy, was a... More

Just off the Plaza in Mesilla, this charming old adobe is a good choice for dinner. The food is good, and I even got a dish (pork burrito) which was not on the menu. I asked if they had pork dishes, and the waitress and kitchen obliged - that is what I call service. Full bar, nice selection of beers.

This was our first Mexican meal in Las Cruces, and still our best. The food is excellent, and they have the best selection of tequila this side of San Diego. It's the only restaurant we've been to twice.

The restaurant Has all these nooks and crannies decorated from top to bottom with Mexican noire. The lobby featured large bird cases containing exotic birds and Fish tanks. The hostesses were 2 gorgeous senoritas dressed in traditional Mexican attire. The restaurant is huge and I got lost looking the banos. I had posole which was delicious- better than mine. My... Love La Posta, we stop anytime we are in the area. The building is a treat to visit (say hi to the birdies). Generous portions, very reasonable prices and great Mexican food. My posole was delicious. The waitress suggested adding sour cream, lettuce and onions to the soup, she was spot-on! The staff is always friendly and fast.

This was my first visit to Las Cruces and La Posta. I was amazed at the size of the restaurant; it's huge! The staff was very friendly and our waitress was great. Service was quick and efficient, the menu selection was extensive, and the prices were very reasonable. The red enchiladas and chile rellenos were muy bueno.

I have taken several trips to the Las Cruces area, and we always make it a point to have lunch or dinner here at least once every trip. Great food. Great atmosphere.

While exploring the Las Cruces area we found the La Posta de Mesilla Restaurant in the “tourist area” and stopped in for a nice family lunch (which I am proud to say was 4 generations)! Our great grandson, 2 weeks old, decided not to have spicy food this time! We ordered the fajitas, vegetarian platter, burritos, fajita salad and flautas.... More
