Went here for birthday dinner with spouse. Had a $50 coupon from restaurant.com. Ordered steaks and a bottle of wine. After dinner, we asked if there was anything for a birthday celebration (we told them when making the reservation that it was a birthday)? Waiter said, any desert on the menu is complementary on your birthday. After desert, he brought... More

We went there on the recommendation of a friend. It was great. Very interesting architecture. Many dining rooms. Food was very good. Glad we went.

Since when does going into an establishment that feels and smells (especially the bar/restroom area) of mildew and air fresher add to a dining experience. I have eaten here over the years as a guest of business leaders and I am appalled that anyone would think this place deserves the prices it gets for average food with an unchanging menu.... More

We made our annual trip to Old Mesilla and always stop at the Double Eagle. The interior patio area and bar are wonderful in preserving the architecture and décor of the era. There's a lot of history in this grand old building in the heart of La Mesilla. I had the Big Jack Chili Rellenos with a cup of Tortilla... More

First, let me clarify that we ate within Double Eagle for lunch at the outdoor café. We had some wonderfully unique appetizers and had some great margarita's. We plan to return and try the more formal area for dinner.

From the outside it does not look much, but step inside it is like a different world. The decor is worth a visit, and the food is great. This is a high end steak house, and the bill will reflect that fact. Perfect place for a special dinner.

If you are driving down I-10 near Las Cruses, it is worth a short drive to Mesilla to this unique restaurant. The place itself if worth a stop but the food is also quite good, with a surprisingly large menu and a bar straight out of the old west. Service can sometimes be a bit spotty, especially if is a... For chip and drink refills had to see the hostess to get service. Not once but twice! And not once did the original waitress see if we doing fine! I guess her mentality is if party is big, she gets automatic tip for the persons seated ! I'm still sitting at table fuming how it seems no one in establishment... More

We were here in June 2014 and enjoyed our experience tremendously. Nice atmosphere, good service and steaks that were tender, juicy and cooked to perfection. We ordered Chateaubriand for 2 and the steaks were excellent and the sides were delicious also: stuffed tomatoes, potatoes and vegetables. Saturday night bonus- 1/2 price bottled wines.

We stopped in for drinks when a quick rain shower came through the area. This place is MUCH bigger than it looks from the outside. It has multiple rooms and is beautiful. When you first walk in, there's a bar on the left and a few sitting areas on your right. We ordered one of their special margaritas. Very good... More
