This is a place that I have been going to for 20 years and I have always enjoyed the food and the atmosphere and drinks. This is also a very good place to come to Brunch at the offerings at the buffet are great. Definitely a must go place. Great for a date or with friends and family

The Double Eagle Restaurant is worth taking the time to visit. The heritage of this historic building is like none other! It is a romantic, beautiful place to have a cocktail. The old bar is filled with exquisite old art and chandlers. Every time I have a meal I am disappointed. I feel the portions are little and over priced. You... More

We ordered 2 drinks and dinner at the same time. Big mistake! Shortly after our drinks arrived my wife's salad was put on the table. She was half finished with the salad and dinner arrived. A 4 oz filet and a twice baked potato. No garnish. The plate looked empty. I ordered a chicken dish which was good with a... More

At there several times over our 5 years. We loved the court yard and all the stories of hauntings! We still have fond memories after 20 years!

At least once a year I have been to the Double Eagle for the last 15 years and it has not changed. The location is perfect, right on the plaza, the building dates back to 1850’s I believe. The restaurant is appointed with great furnishings. If you visit the restaurant, ask if you may look at all the rooms. There... More

Great food, & Margaritas, full bar, the setting in an old hotel is beautiful. Reservations suggested, service is top notch, as are the prices. But worth it, you might even see a ghost!

Of all the places we ate it on our trip to Las Cruces, Double Eagle was the best. We actually ate at Peppers Cafe, which is the less formal area of the restaurant. The Green Chile Cheese Wontons were to die for - definitely a must try. Be advised though - they are sweet, not spicy. Otherwise, the Posole soup... More

When my husband visited here 30 + years ago, this was a highlight of his trip. On this, our third trip in the last year, he convinced me that it would be a great place to eat. He wasn't wrong. The service, the setting, the history and the FOOD all made this an outstanding experience. We all had the steak,... More

The Double Eagle is the only "Fine Dining" establishment in the area. That doesn't make them snobby. The waitstaff is friendly and accomidating when you want to know about the ghosts (it's haunted). The dry aged steaks are expertly prepared and you'd be hard pressed to find a better champaign brunch in the area. The chefs have created a menu... More
