Amazing Seared Tuna Sandwhich!

The customer service and food was great! We had the fried okra, the seared tuna sandwich with cheesy grits, and a burger with sweet potato fries. Everything was great (although the burger was overdone, it still tasted good)!

We drove through Madrid and stopped at "The Holler" for lunch. Very different menu with Fried Green Tomato Po Boys, Chicken and Grits, Buffalo burger on a biscuit, etc. We had the Corona Battered Fish which was good. The town is unique with dozens of funky art studios and artists.

Visited Madrid for lunch and to wander the galleries and shops. This restaurant is a gem. Had the buffalo bacon cheese burger on a pretzel bun. It was amazing!!! The menu was surprising. It had shrimp and grits, chicken and grits, hamburgers, fried pickles and fried green tomatoes. We had the fried dill pickle chips. They were really good too.... More

The best food we have eaten in Madrid. Fresh and local ingredients, unique items, very pleasant servers. An artsy town well worth the trip if you are in Santa Fe or Albuquerque visiting.

The food was good and we all enjoyed our entrees (fish and chips felt small for the price, the Po boy was yummy and the side salad respectable) but overall we felt underwhelmed by the total bill and the service was unfortunately a bit spotty. We often felt so alone in such a small footprint. Though that aside we will... More

We stumbled upon Madrid on the way to Santa Fe last year. We live in Massachusetts. What a quaint town. This year we decided to eat lunch there. The Hollar had an eclectic menu and it was a pleasant late fall day, perfect to sit in their outdoor cafe. Our waitress was friendly and bubbly. We ended up ordering salads... More

Inside eating area, but most people sit outside where there is a large eating area. Some covered, some not. Ate dinner, so outside was cool yet nice. Watched Thurs, night football and enjoyed food. Server was nice man, polite, friendly, and gave very good service. Many locals here in pm, after work, same as Tavern. Worth going to, and coming... More

We were visiting Albuquerque and decided to take a motorcycle ride out to Santa Fe via Rt 14. Once we came across this adorable little town called Madrid, Santa Fe was no longer on our itinerary. We ended our day at The Hollar with a couple local beers and a delicious, inexpensive dinner. I had roasted pork tenderloin with a... More

We stopped by for a quick lunch on the way back to Santa fe. If you like casual outdoor dining then you will like this location. Service was excellent. Lots of interesting menu choices. Perhaps the great ratings because of the southern style options available. The burrito was good but nothing out of the ordinary. The shrimp and grits tasty... More

This place is a little hard to figure out, simply because it looks like an old-time Western place, but serves elegant culinary eats. Don't worry about the prices, it's worth it. The waitstaff is a little hands-off, I would have appreciated a bit more interaction or conversation, but the food made up for it.
