Delicious food- relaxing vibe- don't miss it!

The town had "closed" for the day. But down at the southern end of Madrid is where the great food is! The Hollar was a real find!- an outdoor cafe. We weren't hungry enough for two dinners, so we shared one. Salmon on a bed of quinoa, with grilled asparagus. We'd have licked the plates, but... read more

Awesome laid back outdoor patio! Absolutely loves the kitchy feel of this place, all different kinds of people. Very dog friendly too, they actually have a canine menu and I saw them bring out a dog dish with water in it for one of the four legged diners. They only have beer and wine no cocktails. We had a shrimp... More

This little establishment offers up consistently surprisingly good meals in ever corner of their menu. With a Southern flare, the kitchen handles okra, grits and fried green tomatoes to rival the best of the Confederacy! If you're there for dinner the corn fritters are a must. The service and staff are delightful too. Will be back soon.

It is a must..the bison burger is amazing!!!!! The space was just remodeled too. So there is an interior and outside area to hang out and eat. The menu is somewhat southern based and all the food looks good, but I only ever get the Bison Burger. I live in the next town over and eat there once a week.... More

What a delightful surprise this was!! In this tiny artists' hamlet, this restaurant is a GEM! I had the best chili relleno I had had in 20 years!! Service superb... food even better. Outdoor seating in the spring was delightful. Go... go often!!

While visiting Santa Fe, we took a day trip to Madrid to visit the funky little former mining town. We noticed many diners on the patio (gravel, dirt surface) having lunch so we decided to stop. We were excited about our experience as the chef was a graduate of the Culinary Institute and our expectations were high. Service was unbelievably... More

Funky little outdoor cafe in the middle of Madrid. Loved their green chili cheeseburgers served on pretzel buns. Also loved fried okra being an option besides fries. Cold beer and friendly service. Would note that it took a little long to get our food, but it was a beautiful day and ultimately the food was great so not so bad.

Went on a day trip from Albuquerque to Santa Fe driving the Turquoise Trail. Stopped in Madridy to view the art galleriies and curio shops. Got hungry found the Holler and went in. Our waiteress Gpierce provided us with good friendly service. We both had the Crispy Chicken with Grits $13.50 each. Food was tasty well cooked. Rustic atmosphere and... More
