My family was touring the Las Vegas, NM area and when we got hungry we turned to Trip Advisor for a suggestion. The wait staff was great yet we found the meals to be over-priced for the level of average that they were. There were the three of us and we each ordered something different from the dinner menu. I... More

We were invited to El Fidel by some friends. What a rare find in Las Vegas, NM!! The Sunday breakfast and lunch menus were available and included many incredible dishes. The food delivered beyond our expectations. We will be going back this Sunday as well. Plus the historical aspects of this building are worth exploring.

This little restaurant has evolved over the years, but it has never wavered in its commitment to serve inventive and excellent food and drink. With the expansion into a coffee bar atmosphere in the mornings, and a very nice assortment of on-tap craft beers to match an extensive wine cellar, the El Fidel offers something for everyone. Menu items are... More

The Holiday Inn recommended fast food. Yuk. We drove around & found El Fidel & decided to try it. Great choice. Simple & nice. Appetizer: spinach & goat cheese pastry cups (very rich, tasted great). Husband had the rib eye (great flavor & excellent), I had a breaded chicken with spinach & risotto (mmm good), & daughter had a chicken... More

One reason I have not written more reviews is that unless I have something good to say, I don't say anything, but in this case, I will make an exception. Their menu promises an exciting flavor experience, but the food did not deliver, even the Bleu Cheese dressing was boring and had to be salted to release even a minor... More

We wandered off the Interstate sick of fast food needing refreshment. We found El Fidel by chance, and found healthful fare worthy of a major metropolitan center. We were surprised by the variety and sophistication of the menu. We had Black beans with brown rice, Lamb burger, Lox bagels,Grilled eggplant caprese and Pasta pomodoro pancetta cooked competently and presented artfully.... More

The prices are the same as the Landmark Grill and the food tastes about the same. So you shouldn't make a decision as to which hotel to stay in based upon the quality of the restaurant because both are average. The lunch I had looked nice on the plate but the meat was fatty and there was lots of grease.... More

I've eaten here twice now & there is a consistent comment I would make. The menu is good & offers many fascinating items especially for this small New Mexico town. The food I ate was pretty good & yet there have been strange quirks each time... I ordered the Sunday brunch B.A.T. The A stood for avocado (which is a... More

We drove into Las Vegas and had reservations at El Fidel for 8 for my 40th birthday! The waiter was great and actually knew quite a bit about their wine selections (they have a great list of wines for a small town) The beer drinkers in the group were pleased with the beer selection on tap and by the bottle.... While on a visit to Las Vegas, NM. It was suggested to eat at this restaurant. The outside of restaurant looks very old and not appealing but the service and the food were great. Looks are very deceiving. Apparently they were in between artist because the walls were completely blank. We did not drink wine but they had an excellent... More
