This town is truly frontier like. This restaurant is in an old historic hotel that is well preserved. Don't miss the hotel lobby. The restaurant is basic in decor. I have never had a problem with service and definitely not with the food. The food in individually prepared and the menu varied. However, I am stuck with the Lettuce Wraps... More

I was driving through Las Vegas New Mexico and found this place on tripadvisor. The food is well cooked, and they have a good wine selection. The staff was very kind and attentive. This is probably the best food in town.

Went here for our last dinner in town, visiting our daughter at college. 9 of us on a Sunday night. Quite, first customers of the evening served by Philip. Hate to say this but not a lot of nice dining options in Las Vegas, boy were we surprised. Everyone in our group had something different and we were all so... More

We had two meals at the El Fidel Restaurant while in Las Vegas, NM on business. Both meals were well prepared and both had items that were unique to Northern NM. Great value. I recommend the El Fidel Restaurant. The are on the walls is a nice touch too.

This place is awesome! They have several healthy options that go beyond the typical New Mexican food options. They also have a coffee bar. I'm still waiting to try the Honey Vanilla Latte.

I eat at El Fidel every chance I get. The service is a little off, but the food can't be beat. Fantastic vegetarian options, in addition to carnivorous treats. Stopped in for lunch with family on the way back to Denver from Albuquerque, we all agreed it was the best meal of the trip. If you are in "the first... More

Unassuming, service and menu, but lovingly prepared fresh food. Older building, local art work on the walls for sale.

This is a unique find when one travels to this small Western Frontier town. The food is prepared with care and is upscale. The wine list is great and the walls are covered with art from local New Mexican artists. The hotel is on the historic register and the restaurant boasts high ceilings with the old adobe style.

The atmosphere of the restaurant was pleasant and clean. The food was fairly good but the service was awful to the point where we wondered if it was purposeful because none of us had ordered full meals. At the two-and -a-half hour mark, we cancelled our dessert orders, paid the check and left.

We checked out the reviews for local restaurants and ended up here and were very much pleased! I had the steak special paired with a glass of Conundrum Red which was delicious. My husband ordered the Lamb Meatballs and they were yummy and very unique. Unfortunately we were to full for dessert but the menu looked decadent!!!
