This is a laid back kind of place. They got me in with their "breakfast special" sign, and I'm so glad they did. The food had the best red chili sauce of my whole trip and the service was very attentive--they are NOT going to let your coffee cup go dry!

Johnny's has become so well appreciated by the members of our church it has become our after church gathering place on Sunday mornings. Always a great special available or order off the menu. Friendly staff and a good atmosphere mixed with great food makes this a place to eat.

If a friendly staff, lots of locals and walls filled with interesting historical items were all that counted, this would be a fine place to pull up a chair. But the food is no more than average. Tasty but over-salted posole. Pretty good, but fairly mild red. An over-priced, open-face burger plate ($10) where the green chile was all but... More

I was traveling through Las Vegas on my way to Taos recently and stopped here. Wow! What a treat. They had fantastic red and green chile. My chili came smothered on a chicken-covered sopapillo. It was pure heaven.

We stopped about noon on a Sunday and they were still serving breakfast. Great menus for Breakfast and Lunch. My wife had the short stack and loved it and I had the pozole. The pozole was excellent altho it did not have big chunks of carntas in it. It still had the flavor of carnitas. I will try something else... More

Was passing through town and a friend who had been here before told me to stop. Glad I did because the dirty taco's I ordered were unbelievable. The homemade salsa was perfect and the waitress was very pleasant and had a great attitude. I'll definitely stop at Johnny's the next time I pass through. Viva Las Vegas!!!

I always make sure I am hungry when I drive through Las Vegas, NM because my plan is to stop at Original Johnny's Kitchen. This week when I stopped in for breakfast I was delighted to order the breakfast burrito. This burrito with green chilie came out sizzling hot with crunchy potatoes on the side. I ate slowly and savored... More

Buddy and I stopped by for breakfast on a long road trip and it was very tasty! We both had the huevos rancheros special w/green chili. Just enough chili heat. Very friendly staff. Will definitely return! Recommend a visit - it's been there since the early 80s.

Excellent service by a personable, efficient waiter who seemed to be managing an increasingly crowded room, solo, very well. The grilled chicken on my grilled chicken salad was superb. The rest of the salad was an unimaginative disappointment. I tasted the other two dishes at my table - the enchilada casserole and the chili. Visually appealing; taste OK. I didn't... More
