Love this frozen custard! Have to have it every time I visit Las Cruces. Lots of variety of ice cream combinations to choose from. Even green chile as a sundae topping! They also serve food, great hot dogs! Friendly staff.

Going to this establishment is somewhat akin to visiting an dessert eatery in the 1950's. There are items with novelty names and everything is exceptionally sweet. When I compare it to yesteryear I mean the labor is almost entirely comprised of unskilled youth and the service is lacking. The foods that aren't ice cream are varieties of hot dog and... More

I have been to Caliches (formerly Scoopy's) so many times. Each time that I go, I always think, maybe it will be good this time. Sadly, it never is... There are so many better places to get frozen deserts. They talk about their homemade custard, but it really tastes artificial and mass produced. The servings you get are really inconsistent... One of our local favorites for desert. On a hot summer night you can't beat a gizmo or one of the fruit smoothies they make.. But one of the best things is the poochie cones they offer your canine companions. Our dogs get excited as soon as we turn in to the parking lot.

The custard here is very dense. It isn't a light custard, which seems contradictory to what it is by nature, but I have had a lot lighter at several custard spots......... just not here. The custard seemed to overwhelm the flavor of the bananas I had in a milkshake. It isn't bad, but average. If you like thick custard with... More

This is one of the best places for a cool treat. All kinds a flavors and toppings for your custard, even green chilies. Loved it.

Hot days require cold treats and Caliche's frozen Custard is top notch! The vanilla is very flavorful and silky smooth. The small cone is 2 small scoops was a nice size for ~$2.50 (est. 4oz) . There is only a walk up window to order and pick up and some outside seating and no inside seating. A huge variety of... More

Great, cheerful staff and wonderful yogurt. They serve a green chili sundae although we were not brave enough to try this. Drive through also available.
