Maybe I was expecting too much. Went in for a late lunch and ordered a turkey sandwich & a salad to go. Well, I waitedandwaitedandwaitedandwaited for 25 MINUTES, then went up to the counter and inquired. Five minutes later, my very simple sandwich came out. It was ok, but a bit plain (basically just turkey on their homemade bread) and... More

So I found this place on groupon, and thought I give it try. To my surprise I was very happy I did. The hummus was delicious, and the hot chocolate was made to perfection. The service was fast and the people were friendly. I will go back here again. Next time I'm trying the muffins.

Great coffee. Amazing vegetarian food options. Super friendly and laid back. Had I known about this place while I was in college at NMSU, I would have been there 2 or 3 times a week.

If you enjoy great coffee and sweet breads, you will love, The Bean. It's a quaint little place in Old Mesilla where you can sit inside or outside on the patio and enjoy a cold drink or try one of their great sandwiches too. Many people bring along their laptops or a good book, and sit out on the patio... More

Had breakfast here on the way out of Las Cruces. Good coffee and breakfast food; we had not tried baked goods though. Has indoor and outdoor seating, internet access, some limited and rather inconvenient parking.

Low key, small but delightful coffee, sandwich and pastry cafe. Very nice hostesses and waitresses. Will go back.

Fresh food no prefab eatery here. Great staff and the chef is creative! Fresh baked bread great chili dishes great breakfast place my families favorite, a little noisy and can be crowded, but it is worth it!!

I love The Bean and only wish it wasn't such a hike for me to get there from where I live. That said, I make it a point to stop in for a cup whenever I am headed to Mesilla to check on our horses.

The coffee and funky atmosphere are pretty good but watch out for the baked goods. The chocolate chip cookie I had was rather hard and not too tasty. The blueberry scone was terrible...very doughy, dense and lacking in flavor
