I think this has been in decline for awhile. The inside could really use some work and the food seems to have gone downhill as well. They charge for extra chips and salsa, not a usual in Las Cruces. The even charge for water in a plastic cup, and utensils are plastic. They have a patio, dirty, closed, a mess.... More

I have been living on the East Coast for close to 20 years. We were recently visiting family in the area and decided to see if Roberto’s was still around. To our pleasant surprise it was, so we dropped by for lunch. My husband and I both ordered the Green Burrito plate with the chunky pork. It was delicious. I... More

When you want to make a change in Mexican food. try their green chile chicken tamales. Outstanding in everyway. Take home a dozen or two and enjoy that desire. No atmosphere and more take out than dinning in. A quick hearty plate is also available to enjoy with beans, salad and rice at great price.

Hey this place figured out how to be popular in a college town: simple, fresh, healthy, GF kitchen... order it the way you want, serve up the salsa... and enjoy.

First off, the restaurant is titled incorrectly. It should read Roberto’s New Mexican food. This is the best carry out New Mexican food in Las Cruces. Robert sells his tortillas, tamales and other items at local grocery stores, but go to his restaurant to get the freshest items. The combination plate is good, but the burritos are the best. The... If we want bring home food for guests, this is the place to go. I will often get a large order of layered green enchiladas, red enchiladas, tamales, beans, and rice to have waiting when out of town guests come in from the road. The food it tasty. Like others have said, the atmosphere eating in the restaurant is more... More

Had the Robertos plate and partner had green cheese enchiladas. Nothing great about either plate. Served on plastic plates and plastic forks. Order at counter, no waitress, no chips and salsa with meal. With two large teas meal was to expensive. Charge for tiny containers of salsa. Wont do this again, lot better eating places around.

menu is above the counter where you order--your number is called when your food is ready--roberto's is our first choice for mexican food in las cruces--fast food atmosphere, but with food this good, we could care less--

It's nothing terribly fancy, but the food is very good and for a handful of singles, you'll leave happy and stuffed. I particularly like the tacos.

How can you call yourself a Mexican restaurant with out any state or guacamole? This place is so good. Please stay away.
