We picked this from the TA reviews. It was as good as they said it was. Name has changed to La Nueva Casita Cafe. Wasn't in my Garmin GPS. Luis was our server; he was very attentive. Service was fast.

Nopalito's, the place I usually go when passing through was closed, so we figured why not give this place a try. This is definitely a new discovery. The combination plate with red and green was great, and my daughter said the chile relleno burrito was the best she'd ever had. Our service was friendly and efficient--something you don't always find... More

Reached "pretty late" in Las Cruces i.e. 8 pm. And found most of the well reviewed eateries closed. This had happened two days in a row on that trip and we were pretty frustrated. So we drove around a bit and came upon this restaurant. Kitchen was almost closed but seeing our hungry faces, they let us in 15 mins... More

Service is fantastic. The atmosphere is everything you would want in a good local joint. The salsa is spicy and the green chile is too. My favorite (and I have had almost everything on the menu): chicken burrito smothered in green chile, with a side of calabasitas, and its the only places in town you can get the heavenly calabasitas.

We live here in LC, and we have a choice of about 100 restaurants serving Mexican food. We have our few favorites, and this is definitely one of them. The food is great, from start to finish. Many places start with chips and salsa where either one is not quite excellent. Here, both are perfect. The entrees are great, as... More

This restaurant supported our Teacher Appreciation breakfast by going out of their way to open early for us the day or our event. Plus, they gave us the best deal on all the burritos we ordered. No one else in town could compete with the price they gave us and the burritos were excellent. The staff was so wonderful to... More

Our server Luis was so polite and hospitable. He knew the menu very well and gave fantastic recommendations. Everything we had was delicious and tasted homemade. The chips and salsa were great and hard to put away. I had stacked enchiladas with an egg and green and red sauce and my husband had Huevos Compuestas which was awesome. Try a... More

I've only been to La Casita for breakfast but every time it has been great. They seem very willing to accommodate special requests as to changing what you receive with your meal. I've had the chorizo and eggs and the green chili omelet. Both were yummy! Will definitely return next time I'm in Cruces.
