Lunch

I read the reviews while traveling and we decided to stop. It was all what people were complimenting how good the food was. It was the best Mexican food we had for ages. The server was very friendly and helpful. We will stop again when passing thru.

We ate here twice while we were in town. We tried the Flautas, Chile Rellano and Chimichanga. All were delicious. The portions are reasonable (not huge like many Mexican restaurants) and the service was friendly. My only criticism is that the food cools off quickly as it is served on plastic platters instead of a material that can be heated... More

I am a native las crucean and have grown up with great mexican food, and i can honestly say this is one of the best hands down. You will not be disappointed that is for sure.

While passing through Las Cruces at lunch time, we went to TA and looked for a place to eat. Of course, we are always up for New Mexican food and this place was top rated so we decided to try it out. It's a little bit off of the beaten path but is worth the trip. It's in a historic... More

I've eaten at many Mexican restaurants across the country (none close to the border) and this is, by far, the most authentic Mexican food I've ever had. I ordered the chimichanga but was not too sure which sides to order with the meal. The waitress was VERY helpful with making a decision. I can't pronounce what sides I ordered, but... More

This is certainly a wonderful restaurant. Modest on the outside with a comfortable and homey decor on the inside. I've eaten here twice in the last month and enjoyed each meal immensely. The salsa is the best you'll get anywhere and the guacamole is exquisite. I also heartily recommend the queso. Delicious! The service is perfect. Something that's found here... More

We were warmly greeted as soon as we entered and seated promptly. The service was exceptional. The menu has a wide selection of delicious authentic Mexican main and side dishes. The portions are huge, freshly made and served steaming hot. They also serve samples of their beans and other side items with chips and dip while you decide what to... More

Everything about our visit was great - the food, the prices, the service (Yvonne was fabulous! Very attentive and helpful), and the atmosphere. We were passing through Las Cruces and looking for something authentic to try, and tripadvisor led us to La Casita. Very happy with the decision! We had the combo plate and the stacked enchilada plate - all... More

The food here is excellent. The service is friendly and attentive. The food arrived hot, and promptly. The chef pays attention to presentation and we were both very pleased. A return visit is in our future.

Good food made fresh, including fruit empanadas. We were greeted as soon as entering in through the doors. Tables are nice size with room for your dinner plates, drinks and the chips and salsa. Nice views out the windows of the park across the street. Food was enjoyable. We'd go again and try their green chili hamburger.
