This restaurant is straightforward good food well-prepared and served right. We came looking for good authentic Mexican food and we're not disappointed. La Casita is just that-converted from a typical little house-sparkling clean, even the bathrooms. We had Tacos Estrellos, seasoned, shredded pork and beef tacos, and Enchilada Plate, this one with shredded chicken-a New Mexican traditional stacked enchilada. Service... More

We were driving through town and wanted local New Mexican food. We looked at the reviews and tried La Casita Cafe. Just delicious and Yvonne was the best waitress.

During a long road trip, I stopped for the night in Las Cruces and found this delightful low key restaurant not far from my hotel. The decor is simple but attractive and the service is absolutely excellent. The wait staff was helpful and helped me with the various menu items that needed some explanation. As a result, I had a... We found where the locals eat. While driving through NM this was a bit out of the way but definitely worth it! I had the combo plate and it was fresh, delicious, Mexican food like it's supposed to be. I'll be finding a reason to drive back through just so I can stop and get lunch again. So good!

I read the reviews while traveling and we decided to stop. It was all what people were complimenting how good the food was. It was the best Mexican food we had for ages. The server was very friendly and helpful. We will stop again when passing thru.

We ate here twice while we were in town. We tried the Flautas, Chile Rellano and Chimichanga. All were delicious. The portions are reasonable (not huge like many Mexican restaurants) and the service was friendly. My only criticism is that the food cools off quickly as it is served on plastic platters instead of a material that can be heated... More

While passing through Las Cruces at lunch time, we went to TA and looked for a place to eat. Of course, we are always up for New Mexican food and this place was top rated so we decided to try it out. It's a little bit off of the beaten path but is worth the trip. It's in a historic... More
