This cafe style family owned & operated restaurant is a gem. My meal was totally satisfying. Best green chile I've had probably...ever. No exaggeration.

The best service! Excellent green sauce! Numerous locals seem to have made this their regular breakfast stop in LC. The wait staff seemed to know almost everyone in the place. My breakfast was perfect. I highly recommend stopping in. I most certainly will go back!

After reading great reviews for this place we tried it.The food is not bad ,the service is good. The place is small and crowded at times. The food is good but nothing worth writing home about.I probably wont go back again, just not worth the noise and crowded conditions.

We went to Nellie's for breakfast every morning we stayed in Las Cruces. I loved the huevos rancheros, with the green chili sauce. After a couple of visits, we were treated like family.

This is definitely one of my favorite places to eat... the food is excellent, off sets the waiting time to get in and sometimes the service is slow -- not enough wait staff -- but the are family owned and operated and it shows in the quality of their food. They are very friendly and wanting you to have the... More

We have been eating at Nellies for twenty years! Often on Saturdays. The red chili is never bitter,or burned. The green chili is fabulous too. It is usually a bit of a wait to get in and sometimes the service does not go as fast as you might like but the food and the family that makes it are so... More

This is a really clean down home restaurant with friendly wait staff. Everything I have had was very good. Only open until 2 pm, great for breakfast Off the main streets a little difficult to find but worth it. They are great about putting green chili on anything It is a must stop while in Las Cruces.

Our town divides its taste for Mexican food into 2 camps: places where the turistas go (a popular hangout in Mesilla that I won’t name but whose only good item is the green chile stew) and places the locals prefer...and that does NOT mean less healthy or too spicy for non-natives. Nellie's is hands down the best for New Mexican... More

Nellies is small, and can be loud, but the food is the best, and the staff are all family. Very friendly, good service, and Mexican fod the way it should be. (Of course, it is not really Mexican food, it is Las Cruces' version of Mexican food.) It is open for breakfast and lunch only, and no booze.
