Their salsa is awesome! The food and service is always good. They have been in business for a long time and they serve fresh, homemade style food.

The food was beside the point. People don't come here for a delicious meal, and if they do, they won't get one. If you come, it's because you are in a motorcycle gang or a tourist (or both). Bon Apetit!

we drove through and found this place on the internet. Food was good, but very spicey. service was slow as it was the last day to be opened. They said the increase in rent was too much to keep them open. Good luck to all.

This place used to be pretty good. It is really gone downhill. I don't know if they have a new owner or what but the place is really not as good as it used to be. The food was not very good. The restaurant was dirty with a bunch of flies and the service was average at best. There was... More

A nice little restaurant, right on the road in an old New Mexico house. Quiet, good for conversation. Food delicious, staff attentive. Indoor and outdoor dining

I've always liked El Comedor for a really spicey New Mexican meal. Their portions are large and better than average quality. It's the heat of the chiles, though, that will leave the biggest impression.

You would think finding the front door would be easy, but since we were not sure, we ended up circling the entire restaurant. There are two seating areas; we were by the front door area. The chairs were wooden slabs without contours or cushions, and were not very comfortable at all. The service was ok at first, but after the... More

I felt like I was a kid and my grandma set up a few tables in her house for Thanksgiving dinner. It was a tight squeeze to fit so many diners in a small place, but it wasn't uncomfortable. It was bright inside and had a friendly staff. The food was delicious. This was a lucky find on a long... More

I've ate here several times and always the service is great! However, lately the food isn't what it once was. The chile con queso is watered down. The portions of the food is good but not consistant. Must have new cooks and forget about ordering sopapillas. It takes FOREVER to get them!
