The service was somewhat questionable, so if you're in a rush, this is not the place for you. But the atmosphere is solid, if you like the local bar feel. I had a green chili burger (my first in NM). The burger was thin and seems like is only served medium (difficult to alter the temperature when yo are dealing... More

If you find yourself traveling through Jemez Springs, New Mexico on State Route 4, make sure you stop for a delightful meal at Los Ojos. It's been there for more than fifty years, and the food is still some of the best in the state. Portions are large, so be prepared to leave very full!

Los Ojos is quirky to say the least. I think of it as a biker bar but the food never disappoints. The buffalo burger and the chicken burrito is at the top of my list of favorite foods. Medium priced.

Friendly but slow service. Food average, mostly fried and probably reheated from frozen (not freshly prepared). Large portions.

Neat saloon style atmosphere. The food is pretty good too. The wild life trophies on the walls might freak some people out.

Read many of the reviews on here saying they experienced bad service, went in today for the first time and service was great, staff was real friendly and attentive. I would visit this place again.

We stopped in when driving to Durango, had a fantastic lunch. I would recommend anything with green chilies or green chili sauce. It was amazing. We set on the patio, it started sprinkling and they offered to take us inside, we opted to stay and it passed quickly. Great food great atmosphere. I think we hit the after church crowd... More

We have been to Los Ojos on a number of times most recently in May 2014. The main reason to go to this place is for the atmosphere. It has the feel of the old West. Met the owner, nice guy. The food on the other hand is very average.

A genuine bar and restaurant, not one of the chains where it's all planned out. We had an early dinner and were the only people in the place who did not get greeted by name. Very decent food. Fast and friendly service. A must-visit in Jemez Springs.

One of only a dozen or so structures in Jemez Springs, it's like stepping back in time when you hit this place. It's like something out of a film. In the middle of nowhere, it's got a wide selection of beer and a menu with good regional fare. I had the green chili (which became a staple for me in... More
