Best steak in town

This is a hidden gem and it's kinda outdated but they have the best steak and prime rib in town. Usually have to make a reservation for fri. And sat. Also has small bar area next to restaurant. It's hidden in an older motel.

Cozy room, music next door was a bit loud. Food not bad, dessert selection uninspiring. Rib eye was perfect.

I ordered the Prime Rib with 3 fried shrimp. Both were cooked just right and tasted great. My wife ordered the New York Strip and it was also perfectly cooked. Friendly staff and my gin and tonic was mixed just right. Great Atmosphere and I can't wait to dine here again.

This is the oldest steakhouse in Hobbs. I took my prom date here in 1977. It hasn't changed at all. It is small and located in a old hotel. They cook right in front so you can see it all. The price is normal for steaks and its a good place for nostalgia.

This is hands down the best steak restaurant in Hobbs. Quaint atmosphere inside a dumpy hotel - you'd never guess the food was so good by looking at the outside so don't "judge a book by its cover!" The Saxony is usually consistently busy so reservations are almost always needed, even on weekdays. Lots of business people have dinners there... More

The steak was very good but the dinner salad was just as good ( so fresh and prepared so nicely). The antiquated setting reminds one of a time when service was important, fresh food was prepared and white linen table cloths & red napkins were lit by candle light. Reservations recommend or get there just as they are opening.

The Saxony is consistently good. The steaks aren't the quality they were a couple of years ago but still superior to any other steaks in Hobbs. The service is very good. The restrooms are in serious need of renovation.

One of the few places worth eating in Hobbs. Nick makes great steaks and if you are really into chilies ask for his ghost pepper hot sauce. I always get the hot sauce with two white Russians to cool off. The bar next door is okay as well. Nothing too exciting, but a lot more reasonable than going to Diamond... More
