I discovered Sparky's on the Raodside America website, and just HAD to visit them on our trip to MN last week! It was AWESOME! The friendly staff, the food, the ambiance were all wonderful, as well as the photo-ops out front! The owner's daughter took our order, and the owner visited us while we enjoyed a green chie hamburger. If... More

Went to Sparky's on a Sunday to hear some good 60s music and try their famous Green Chili Cheeseburger. We were not disappointed. The place is really fun- lots of things to look at both inside and outside. The lines were long to order the food. but worth the wait. One of the best burgers ever. Hand made with cheese... More

We somehow have been here 3 times, despite living nowhere near New Mexico. Our last visit was the best. If we (unfortunately) find ourselves driving through Hatch (again) we'd be sure to stop here. It's not gourmet food, but, it's darned good made for you food. They even stayed open late for us, and never made us aware that they... More

We decided to take the 30 minute drive to Sparks tonight...well worth the drive! We went with friends and we all loved our food! Very nice covered outside eating area as well! We will back when the weather is cooler with our pooches.

The first thing you'll notice about Sparky's is the decor. Lots of pictures and memorabilia every where. It's really a cool looking place inside and out. Take the time to really look around. The next thing you'll most likely notice is that it's going to be busy if it's around lunch time. That is to be expected though if you've... More

Sparky's is the restaurant that people travel to get to, and for good reason. Their "world famous" is a green chile cheeseburger that is second to none. It tastes and smells as if it was grilled on an outdoor barbecue. The cheese is gooey and the chile is perfect. Not too hot for those who rarely partake of green chile.... More

We stopped at Sparky's on our way back from Tucson to Amarillo. We had noticed it on our way to Tucson but the time of day was not conducive to eating at the time, so we vowed to stop on our way back through. We weren't disappointed! Though parking is a bit of an issue, it is certainly worth the... More

For the most part the green chili cheeseburger was ok. I've had better and I've had worse. The big surprise was to find they don't serve with any lettuce and tomato which is a deal breaker for me not ever going back. I thought at first they just missed it since the person in front of me ordered hers without... More

We stopped here on a whim a year back and my taste buds had a party that I could remember all year. So this month I packed up my family and we drove two hours just for their hamburger. And yes, it was worth the drive. The meat makes the difference. It is perfectly cooked and seasoned like nothing u... More

Bar-b-que brisket is excellent. Green Chile Cheeseburger is in top two or three in America!!!! The pinto beans and green chile corn are out of this world!!! If you are anywhere near Hatch, NM, stop and eat at Sparky's.
