Our group had to check out this hotel lobby and we wanted to extend that 'back in time' ambience by eating in their restaurant. The food was very good especially my friend's apple pie. Service was friendly. We were happy to relive some of that Route 66 nostalgia. It made our last night out West more memorable.

As we were staying at El Rancho Hotel, we had dinner in its restaurant. The staff was very gentle and helpful with great smile. We chose a 10oz ribeye which was of good quality and just cooked as we wished. The wine was also good. We will keep good memories of our dinner.

The lobby of this hotel is a MUST see if passing through or in Gallup. We came by specifically to see it and have a drink. We sat in the 49er Lounge. Our 11 year old son was with us, around 8pm. AT that time and probably earlier it seemed no big deal but later may be a different crowd.... More

Way overpriced with bland, boring food and not much to choose from. The room is small, super dark and the service was slow. It also closes early for road travelers who may come in after 9pm.

My family and I had stayed here about 20 years ago and it was a great movie/western experience. Our brother-in-law is a western movie buff, so when we went out to the area, we made reservations to stay here again. OHMYGOSH! The history remains with pictures on the balcony and first floor walls of movie stars from old westerns. However,... More

We got into town late in the evening. So when we were checking in, We asked about somewhere to eat. The hotel staff immediately suggested the El Rancho. The restaurant is old-timey beautiful. The staff was very friendly and helpful. And the food was fantastic. This was not your franchise, industrial food. This was New Mexico food. Spicy chilies and... More

Loaded with history, this hotel is worth visiting. It was the hotel of the stars and they have retained the ambiance. The food and service was really good. You need to walk up the grand stairs to see all the photos autographed by the famous stars who have stayed there, to include Ronal Regan.

Took my boss and a coworker to El Rancho while on business. He liked, but did not love, his margarita. I really liked the New Mexico beer. We all liked the food, and LOVED the charm and ambiance of this landmark establishment. Seemed to be a fair amount of colorful locals enjoying the experience, too, always a good sign. Our... More
