it needs some help on the menu. the eggs were cooked to order. the bacon crisp, the pancakes ok. the French toast was basically toast with sweet added. the place has potential and maybe lunch and dinner are better? what it needs is some imagination to get the restaurant on par with the hotel.

Lovely property worth stopping for a quick look around and a drink. Restaurant very average. Plastic paper cloths, but priced like a "proper" restaurant. Food not very good and staff lack lustre at best. We did have a nice couple of beers at the bar though which was nice.

If you are staying at the Hotel don't bother with the restaurant, you will be better off going out to eat!

I pulled in to Gallup New Mexico and expected nothing but to find the perfect Mexican meal. This was a restaurant ,hotel and motel. Beautiful old charm like in the 50's and 60's. I asked for the Mexican plate " el grande "'. I got the " Ricardo Manitoban" It was great. The old wood and Indian artifacts were a... More

After a long drive on route 66 the hotel was a quaint and inviting place to stay and eat. The tamale was definitely on my top 5, the sirloin and enchiladas also good. A busy and colorful restaurant with friendly service. Its worth stopping just to take a look.

We came to the El Rancho restaurant first for the history, but also from reading reviews on trip adviser. We weren't disappointed! We had the Mexican combo special that night although it was hard to make a choice from so many great menu items available. The service was quick, our waitress friendly and efficient. The food was very flavorful and... More

Mediocre is the only word to use to describe this restaurant. I can appreciate the Hollywood history connected to this place, but totally relying on that is not the best thing. We ate here because it was one of the few places open - not many dining choices in Gallup. The service was slow - the dining room was not... More

They missed the opportunity to take advantage of the history of the hotel. The food was ok, average at best. In the old bar, almost empty, with minimalist drinks. A lost opportunity.

After dinner at a Mexican restaurant in Gallup, where they served beers and spirits, we were recommended to go for a drink at this restaurant / hotel & Pub, just off the town and Route 66. Hotels famous for being popular with the Stars western movies. We stayed until almost midnight, as the other rooms closed at 9:00 / 10:00... More
