Fun and famous

What a great fun place to have a meal! Service was amazing and the food was good. I had the Ritz Moreno...enchiladas with red & green sauce. Green sauce was better but spicy! There's great old movie history here at the restaurant & hotel!

A friend had recommend this place to us, but we were disappointed with the quality of food. We had steaks, but it did not meet our expectation of the "steak dinner" here. The place was mostly empty when we were there, but the service was just so so.

We barely left the el rancho restaurant and we were very disgusted at not only with the food but service. To begin with while waiting to be seated the hostess asked how many and we told her "seven" and she made a face of displeasure mind you there were only two tables that were taken the rest were available. When... More

This historic hotel is worth a stop for lunch. We were on our way to Williams, AZ and decided to stop in Gallup for lunch. It has a quaint lobby, very rustic and interesting with its' Hollywood star pictures and history. We ate in the medium sized restaurant which served both New Mexican and "regular" food menu choices. The food... More

This is right across the street from the brand new Best Western so a great place to walk to. The food is of a southwest cuisine fit for the finickiest of granddaughters. The meal is large and after they finished there was no room for dessert. A great place to chow down after a long day of travel. The staff... More

Basic, cheap, junky American diner quality food with a couple standard Mexican style dishes. For dinner a burnt baked potato (seriously, how do you mess up a baked potato??) fried catfish, definitely from frozen, canned corn and a sweet, burger-like bun for a dinner roll. My bf enjoyed his veggie fajitas, although thought they were over salted. The service was... More

Breakfast is great! Try the French toast. Service is wonderful. Guests, of all sorts, are colorful. This place is truly unique and there to enjoy!! Dinner? Homey. Try the ground round with gravy. If you like this restaurant (and hotel) you'll enjoy Gallup. Please enjoy Gallup! It's unique. (However, be careful buying jewelry. Just use your eyes, whatever knowledge you... More

For dinner, the steak fajitas were the best . Plenty for two people. For breakfast, the huevos rancheros were great and the refried beans were fantastic. Made with bacon drippings, yum.

Just walking into the lobby, you think of the old days when movie stars would spend the night while on location. I would like to take the old comfortable furniture home as I live in a rustic abode. The jewelry shop is to die for and the food is good, along with the charming decor. I wish the piano were... More

We were staying at the hotel section of El Rancho so we decided to eat at the restaurant. While it is not the most trendiest or interesting of decors, the food was fantastic. This section is obviously run by a different owner to the hotel, as service was excellent and attentive. Food was better than expected and reasonably priced. Portions... More
