Small and personal

Actually found this place on Uhh Yelp. Off the beaten path by a few blocks, in a neighborhood. Family run...mom did most everything but the boys were very polite and helpful with seating and drink order. I got the barbacoa plate. It was more dry than I'm used to. Only other thing on the plate was... read more

6 of us went for lunch based on reviews and we were not disappointed. Starting with the chips and salsa which were great. We all had different versions of the combination plate. I had pork tamale, chile rellano and chicken enchilada. Had 1/2 green and 1/2 red sauce. They were all wonderful. We even bought some tamales to bring home.... More

We stopped here for lunch because of the high rating Yelp gave it! Big mistake! Very pricey for lunch and it was the blandest food we have ever eaten! Blah!

This was listed as #1 per yelp. It was way worth the detour from the interstate and 66 AND the construction going on around. Parking is limited but I'm sure street parking is fine if there's no road repair going on. The food was fresh, full of flavor and quick to arrive. I could've handled a little more spice, though.... Read a review passing through town on a long road trip. Called about hours and they closed at 9. It was about 9 but the guy told us if we stopped by we would be taken care of. Just about the only other place open was Denny's. Good was tasty and hit the spot. Really appreciated the extra 110%.

Found this on Yelp and tried it. Great tamales. There are other choices as enchiladas and burritos. But we are fans of great tamales. We were not disappointed. I had the plate of 3 different types, pork, chicken and vegetable and my husband had all pork. The tamales were served with rice and beans and a nice small fresh salad.... More

We were excited to try this place, but after driving around looking for this place we discovered that it was closed when we finally found it. Place seemed to be in a rough section of town and we were not impressed.

Another great shrimp tacos lunch! Love the corn tortillas they use. Nicely seasoned. Yum! Have to go back more often! The woman who waits on the table makes the food too. She is always friendly.

We came here because of the reviews that they had on tripadvisor! Being raised in New Mexico the chile taste like if they got it out of the store in the frozen section. I didnt like how they used a microwave to heat up the food.. like if the food wasnt fresh and they just slapped it on the plate.... More

Enchilada and tamale filling = peas, carrots, corn, and green beans. How disappointing to drive this far to get Mexican food from a bag of frozen mixed veg. When this happens in Fargo or Amsterdam, I'm not surprised. Although it was very disappointing, the masa and tortillas were tasty enough, as was the green salsa that came with the chips.... More
