We come here to eat breakfast which I feel is the best meal served here. Lunch and dinner are not that great. People are nice. Prices are not bad. Place is clean. Dishes and silverware clean. Enchiladas not that good--red chili sauce, needs work. Tacos are good. Green is better than red. Red stains all over my tortillas--fingerprints, sloppy food... More

Stopped by on the way home to Prescott, AZ from Taos, NM and was this a mistake. The service was barley adequate and it experience wen downhill from there. The chimichanga was fair but the enchilada was terrible...my wife had to combine the filling of her taco with the enchilada just to make it palatable. This was certainly the worst... More

The menu is affordable & well spiced. And you get to peruse jewelry by local artists while you wait for your entrees. It's a popular local spot with a tempting menu. We ate very well & the servers were friendly & helpful.

The worst chile rellenos I've ever had, while the rice and beans were average. No sangria; I ordered a marguarita instead which tasted like chemicals. Disappointing.

I have tried a local favorite, the stuffed sopaipillia, a several New Mexico restaurants. I really like this one the best. If you ask the locals this is one of a few places they recommend and for a reason. It's nice. I know people complain about the Navajo sales folks that present their wares at your table. It happens at... More

Decor was updated when they built Route 66. I make salsa and the salsa at Don's was sooo bad. I have never seen nachos served with soup poured over them. The "Sheepherder" plate reminded me to clean the left overs out of my frig and throw them away, not roll them up into a tortilla and cover it with red... More

Favorite place to eat at in Gallup! Great Mexican food. Love the enchiladas and fajitas. Salsa is delicious too! Good service and food comes out fast

Easily found along Route 66, this place serves Mexican food quickly, with good-sized portions that will satisfy an appetite, no problema! they also have an American menu, but I stayed with the Mexican food, and was not disapointed. Prices are well within my budget, too.

All I can say about the negative reviewers on here, is that they obviously don't have much of a clue about the kind of food they could get at this place! We're traveling around the Four Corner states, and were very glad we found Don Diego's. Yes, there are a lot of families and kids in this place: it is... More

A police officer said this was the best place in town. I sure hope not. My chile relleno was good. The rice was not. The salsa tasted like pace picante. The worst part was the adults and children coming to our table continuously trying to sell jewelry. It happened at least 10 times and did not stop when the food... More
