Not a chain, Badlands offers true New Mexico hospitality and taste- for those of you traveling through, it's the place where locals go when they want a meal that's truly a cut above the rest, and relax with friends and neighbors. There's no dress code...no pretentiousness...just beef that's been wet-aged for 21 days, cut in-house and cooked to order...combine these with an ice cold beer or excellent bottle of wine... and you've got the stuff a cattleman's dreams are made of!

Very Good!!

Outstanding food, I had the smoked pulled pork, wife had the honey smoked salmon. Appetizer was the shrimp cocktail, very good, not outstanding. The salads were great. A beer & wine establishment, they make wine cocktails, bottle beer. They apparently were out of the key lime pie I wanted listed... read more

We had no problem with the service. However the prices have increased substantially. I had an avocado stuffed with king crab and shrimp. Sounds like it would be a cold dish, doesn't it? Nope! The avocado was breaded and deep fat fried. Very peculiar, especially as it was a rather bruised avocado to begin with. The crab and shrimp stuffing... More

We ate at the Badlands Grill last year. This year we arranged our travel to be at Badlands for another spectacular meal. We ate the pork chops and were in awe with the tenderness and flavor. Claudia provided awesome service. I would recommend this restaurant highly, as the service, atmosphere and food was excellent. Sherry Aldridge

We stayed in Gallup NM for business for 3 nights. The Holiday Inn recommended Badlands Grill. We ate there all 3 nights in a row! The steaks were some of the best we have had anywhere! The chocolate mousse is deee-licious! Yes I agree with other reviews they are a bit pricey (for Gallup) but as the saying goes: "You... More

Drove all day, since early on a transcontinental trek, and decided to stop in Gallup for some food. We were tired and hungry. Badlands Grill did not disappoint: the service was awesome, as was the food impeccable. The menu states that the filet mignon is "melt in your mouth tender". The wording was spot on. If I ever find myself... More

Starting with our waitress Claudia. She was so nice and very attentive. The apple butter they served with the bread was different and delicious. The elk filet melted in your mouth. Excellent flavor and perfect preparation. I'm pretty sure the bananas foster changed my life forever haha. If you eat anywhere else in Gallup you are cheating yourself. Right down... More

Gllup has a remarkable eating establishment Badlands Grill. We travel between Northern Oklahoma and Scottsdale regularly and will plan to dine at Badlands when staying over. Katrina was our server and she did and outstanding job! Never bothersome and just right with attention. Her recommendations, Seared Tuna, yes seared tuna in New Mexico, and smoked ribs were fabulous. They have... More

Very interesting restaurant, nice decorations. Our server was Jenna and she was very on top of things. She made sure all our requests were made without asking. The food was delicious. Was something different than back home in Iowa.
