Description: Not a chain, Badlands offers true New Mexico hospitality and taste- for those of you traveling through, it's the place where locals go when they want a meal that's truly a cut above the rest, and relax with friends and neighbors. There's no dress code...no pretentiousness...just beef that's been wet-aged for 21 days, cut in-house and cooked to order...combine these with an ice cold beer or excellent bottle of wine... and you've got the stuff a cattleman's dreams are made of!

My husband and I went to badlands grill after reading the reviews on trip advisor and also our hotel recommended this restaurant. After a long journey in the car traveling to state to state, we checked in to our hotel and relaxed for a bit. We got to Badlands Grill my husband and I were really excited about the wine... More

Excellent prime rib. Beef is their speciality. Lots of burgers Entrees come with salad (average) meat and a scoop of potatoes (garlic) for $20 plus. Not any vegetables. Chocolate mousse is really pudding with whipped cream. Nice rustic decor, friendly staff, family run business and not a franchise. A variety of menu options but beef is their "thing".

Food was good. Claudia and Katrina were great wait staff. Good variety of food and great beer and wine selection. Wine and beer prices reasonable.

My husband's job was taking us across country from Maine to California. It was a journey that would take four days. Half way through was the date of our fifth wedding anniversary. We wanted a nice place to eat to celebrate and not knowing the area and after a long day of riding, we didn't want to take a lot... More

I found the prices high and the quality average. Nice atmosphere and nice help. Maybe if I had splurged on a steak, I might feel differently.

Jenna was our server who gave impeccable suggestions about food and wine. I was dubious about getting tuna in a New Mexico steakhouse but Jenna assured me the chef knew what to do. My tuna was medium rare, fabulous. My husband's smoked pork chop was good, but he probably should have gotten the ribeye (Jenna's suggestion). We loved our visit... More

Food was very good, but somewhat expensive. Come with an appetite. They did offer buffalo, elk and trout on the menu and my husband who grew up with wild game would have liked some, but the price was over $35 and more than we wanted to pay.

What a delight to return to a place after 3 years and find it just as wonderful as it was before. Possibly the steaks are even better. I would say this was the biggest and best NY Strip I have ever had, and I am from NYC. And the price was very reasonable. My husband's T-Bone was huge and delicious,... More

Right out of an old western, with saddles and rifles hung up on the wall. We had a scorpion burger stuffed with goat cheese with many layers of flavor (we didn't get hit by the intensity of the chiles until half-way through). The burger is the sort of food you touch with gloves on! We went for the delicious seasonal... More

Travelling cross-country from Massachusetts to LA, one of our nights brought us to Gallup, NM. Looking for a good dinner, we decided to try Badland's Grill on good old' Rte 66 and were very pleased with the entire meal...from salad to awesome steak and salmon to the scrumptious desserts! Jenna was our waitress and served us in a highly professional... More
