Great Ribs

Good meat and amazing ribs. The meat is so tender it falls off the bone. Good value. The only negative is that there is no sauce bottles on the tables.

We have eaten at the Spare Rib for years from business, family, friends and take out. We have always been pleased with the brisket, ribs, chicken, cat fish and sides. The packages are good quality and value especially if you have a group. The decor is cheery but basic. Seating is picnic tables.

This is a local favorite. It is owned and run by a family. Really good barbecue. Will not disappoint!!

You can smell the aroma the minute you walk in. This cooking style is so much more moist than others. The meat literally falls off the bone and sauce is spicy and sweet. No vinegar in this sauce! It is very clean and well lit. They have been in business since 1989 so the locals must really like it. I... More

We are native Texans and have been going here for years. True Texas BBQ that passes Charlie's smell test (if you don't smell slightly like BBQ smoke when you leave, it is not real Texas BBQ). There is a new BBQ chain in town but I seriously doubt they could even come close to what this Texan knows is real... More

Not fancy but good food, sides are very good and catfish and bar b que very good. This is paper plate paper cup type joint. It is a very neat place and service is good. The locals flock to this place and they do a good business. If you want some Texas brisket, stop here you will not be disappointed.

We stumbled on this place on a recent visit to Farmington. Definitely very good food. My husband is pretty particular about BBQ and thought it was delectable - and I agree. We got there after closing, but before they had left and they were kind enough to give us take-out anyway, as they still had some ribs in the kitchen.

Their barbecue sauce is the best! Catfish is always a favorite. The bbq sauce and the catfish breading are the owners specialy and they are done to perfection. There is always a line which tells the whole story on quality

If you want some home town BBQ this is the place. Locally owned and a very home town feel. It's not the ritz but, that's what's makes it a great place to eat. Give it a try I bet you will like it.
