You have got to try their Scotch porter. Smooth and very full flavoured. For the teenagers there is a great brewed root beer as well. Raft with NMRA across the street and finish your day at this very small but great brewery.

Had a sweet, albeit brief, stop after a day on the river. Beers were tasty and the impromptu conversations were welcomed.

The service was great. There were 4 beers to sample. They were solid, not spectacular. They had a bunch of La Chirpada wines there as well. It was nice to sit outside and relax after a few hours of rafting, and the location just across the street was perfect. We brought in a couple bags of chips and pretzels to... More

After a day of white water rafting with New Mexico River Adventures, we walked across the Hwy, and had some fantastic brews. Lady Bug IPA was our favorite, and not too hoppy. 4 stars because 1 pint costs $5. Not outrageous, but $4 or $3.50 would be a little more reasonable.

Went for a beer after doing the Box and had a blast. Wish we could have hung around for trivia night I hear the locals there get pretty crazy!

We stopped at the Blue Heron after our white water rafting trip with New Mexico River Adventures. It's small, but the woman working the bar was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed a glass of local wine and a flight of local beer as a great ending to our day, and were able to relax for a bit before heading... More

This place is a nice little find. It's a small local brewery that aims to please. You order at a counter where you are encouraged to sample a few brews to find the one that makes you happy! We had an IPA and a Pale Ale, both were very good. They have an excellent house made root beer too. There... More

nice place to visit and eat on your way to or from taos. we had the loose meat sandwiches and beer. Art and view of Taos mountain, then took a walk across the gorge bridge. Local artists selling wares by the bridge.

We stopped in while vacationing after spending the day rafting the Rio Grande. The Rootbeer was absolutely amazing. We followed it with a nice sampling of handcrafted beers and enjoyed them all. We noticed this is where the locals live to hang as well. A nice group if people.
