Consistently Excellent Casual Mexican Fare

Orlando's is a "local's" favorite. We never miss eating here while we're in Taos! The chili rellenos are out of this world! It's a shame that chips and salsa aren't complimentary... only the nag holding this place back from a 5 star review.

But it is hard in Taos. I expect at least an attempt at service, or at least service recovery. Don't expect either from this dive.

Loved the atmosphere, decor, chile ristras, tile top tables, etc. It definitely had a very New Mexico feel to it. Based on other reviews, it seems we got lucky and we were seated upon arrival and we went around 6:30 on a Thursday night. The service was super fast and food came out really fast. I had the tres colores... More

We ALWAYS eat 1-2 meals at Orlandos, esp after a day of skiing. [it will get crowded and you'll have a wait after the ski slopes close.]

Mediocre food at decent prices. If that's your gig this is your place. Went on sat had 25 min wait. Was disappointed. Chips and salsa were the best part. Service was poor. Would not return.

Our family of eight went on a Wednesday night and we did not have to wait but it was super busy for a Wednesday. The food was good and the wine based margarita was a hit as well. To get to the restroom, you go through the kitchen so they have no way of hiding anything. They are clean and... More

We were visiting some friends in the Taos area and got a recommendation to go to Orlando's. WOW!! It looks pretty basic form the outside, and it's definitely a casual place, but you're not there for the ambiance - you're there for the food. And EVERYTHING we had there was over-the-top good. The chili rellenos were fantastic; the "tres colores"... More

It may not look like much from the outside but this small restaurant sure delivers! Enchiladas were full of flavor and I loved the pasole. Service was quick and attentive. Solid choice when in Taos

Always delicious; never disappointing! Excellent! This is our go-to restaurant for New Mexican food in Taos! Great for lunch and/or dinner!
