Was expecting a typical truck stop restaurant, as a large truck stop was next door. Been by it a hundred times and never stopped, but glad I did. Not a gourmet experience by any means, but this is a family-type country restaurant with good food at reasonable prices. Waitresses were a hoot. Been back a few times now, and same... More

Amazing breakfast! Had the "Cowboy Special" which consists of 3 eggs, 2 pancakes, & your choice of sausage, ham, or bacon. Yum! Prices are really cheap & you get a lot of food. Staff super friendly. Going to try their lunch next time.

I travel all 48 states, and am almost always disappointed when I eat at truck stops. Hard to take my semi anywhere nicer, so when i'm working, i generally carry my own food. Had to take my 34 hour break here, so i thought I'd give it a chance. I ordered to-go, as I was exhausted. Super friendly servers! Took... More

Was on a road trip to New Mexico with the better half, and she's been through here a few times, years ago, and said this was a good place to eat. We went in and sat down. The first thing that got annoying real quick, was the amount of flies in the building, ( I can understand a fly or... More

It's ok, not great. And, it's not the homey home cooking you hope. Atmosphere is fun/funny. We had their Mexican choices (Salsa tasted like it was the cold stuff straight from Sam's) and found them to be acceptable but far too pricey for what you were getting - they know they have a captive audience. It's on the main road... More

The menu is pricy for what you get. If you want small servings, less flavor, no really healthy choices, sub standard service, cheese or fried choices and pay lots for it, then this is your kind of place. I almost walked out when I could not find a healthy choice on the dinner menu. And, I so wish I had.... More

Clovis is not a garden spot by any stretch but this "home cooking'" restaurant gives you something to look forward to if you're traveling between, say, Austin and Albuquerque. I only can speak to the breakfast and the service but both were excellent - pancakes, light and fluffy; bacon crisp and thick; coffee hot and bottomless. This place is a... More

Nothing much fancy here just darn good food. I have had breakfast, lunch and dinner here many times and the food is always great as is the service. Friday nights they usually have a steak special that is just awesome.

Stopped on my way to Santa Fe for an early dinner and Cooks seemed 'nostalgic'...and it definitely is. Décor reminded me of a simpler time and other than the seasonal fly, was clean and well maintained. My waitress was friendly and very prompt. I ordered off the Senior Menu and it was a huge meal for a reasonable price. The... More
