Located between the chain places on the north side of Clovis, this mainstay of West Texas Mexican food remains true to it's roots. We came in as a family for lunch on a busy Saturday and were treated like family at Leal's. The enchilada plate was more than filling for myself. My parents both had meals that we're not on... More

If you want good Tex-Mex, Leal's has it! The only detractor for me is the noise levels in the place. They just don't have any good sound dampening and it gets way too loud there to make it an enjoyable place to sit and eat. But, if the noise doesn't bother you, the food is sure to please you! I've... More

All the basics are covered. Enjoyed the soft tacos but wish they had been steamed instead of softened in oil. The Chile Rellanos weren't very good; thick flavorless batter. Nice decor and service.

Totally low key atmosphere and no frills. But food is great, plentiful and inexpensive. If you like the salsa (just a little bite), you can buy it at Albertson's grocery in 3 degrees of "heat". They also have a spice on their table to sprinkle on their tortilla chops which appeared to be a combination of salt and spices which... More

Leal's has been a local favorite for decades. The food is good (try the crispy chili relleno!) and the beer is cold. I like that the wait staff is very good, because so many of them have been there for years too. And for all you travelers that don't like the salsa too hot, Leal's will be a pleasant surprise... We needed to eat prior to a business meeting and did not have a lot of time. Though it was around noon, we were able to get in, get a booth, have our order taken, delivered and eaten in less than an hour and a half. The wait staff was not only efficient but super friendly. We had never been... More

Always a popular place especially for lunch. Their stuffed avocado is a specialty worth trying. My wife and I have each enjoyed it. The Asado de Puerco was a new one I tried and it was very tasty with just the right spice for me. Service is usually quick even with the lunch rush.
