Okay Mexican food, nothing to write home about, The restaurant is old and not too visually appealing....old furniture and old decor. I would not recommend this restaurant, as their food was nothing special and I know I don't plan to return.

We have stopped here before several years ago. We went for lunch this time. We were seated promptly and attended to by a cheerful server, Monica. The menus was colorful and easy to read and make a choice. I ordered their Leals lunch combination special: a taco, burrito, and a chili relano with retried beans and rice for about $7.... More

I've gave this place several chances to produce some decent food, but every visit has been more disappointing than the last. It's standard Tex-Mex, but not very good. There are better restaurants in town if you want Tex-Mex.

Located between the chain places on the north side of Clovis, this mainstay of West Texas Mexican food remains true to it's roots. We came in as a family for lunch on a busy Saturday and were treated like family at Leal's. The enchilada plate was more than filling for myself. My parents both had meals that we're not on... More

If you want good Tex-Mex, Leal's has it! The only detractor for me is the noise levels in the place. They just don't have any good sound dampening and it gets way too loud there to make it an enjoyable place to sit and eat. But, if the noise doesn't bother you, the food is sure to please you! I've... More

All the basics are covered. Enjoyed the soft tacos but wish they had been steamed instead of softened in oil. The Chile Rellanos weren't very good; thick flavorless batter. Nice decor and service.

Totally low key atmosphere and no frills. But food is great, plentiful and inexpensive. If you like the salsa (just a little bite), you can buy it at Albertson's grocery in 3 degrees of "heat". They also have a spice on their table to sprinkle on their tortilla chops which appeared to be a combination of salt and spices which... More

Leal's has been a local favorite for decades. The food is good (try the crispy chili relleno!) and the beer is cold. I like that the wait staff is very good, because so many of them have been there for years too. And for all you travelers that don't like the salsa too hot, Leal's will be a pleasant surprise...
