The best in town

We've eaten at Leal's before and it's always good. My wife loves their Chimicangas, I try something different every time. We've always had a great meal. One puzzling thing is the sopapillas - they're of the authentic puffed pastry variety (best eaten with honey), but at Leal's they were either... read more

I've reviewed this location before and gave high marks but was there yesterday and the service left a lot to be desired. Several staff members standing around while we waited about ten minutes to be acknowledged and seated. Food was good but overall service was slow and the staff didn't seem interested. I hope this was a one time bad... More

Brand New to New Mexico, so many people had stated the Mexican food would be so different and so much tastier thAn back home were we are originally from! We were not impressed at all! However our waitress was super pleasant and the atmosphere was nice!

On the search for delicious Mexican food, we happy to try Leal's. Generous portions of delicious food at reasonable prices. The décor is a little tired in the overflow dining room, but the place does a booming business. If you find yourself in Clovis NM give it try. I think you will be pleased.

This seems to be everyone's favorite restaurant. The parking lot is always full and nearly everyone I know is always excited to eat here. I myself just haven't found anything spicy, unique, or flavorful enough to compete with the local Mexican restaurants. I also feel its a bit pricey for what you get. If given the choice I would always... More

Took my sister out for some quiet time. Love the atmosphere, greeted when we first worked in, the waitress was very nice and helpful. The enchiladas were a tad dry but overall we really loved the food. Our favorite is the salsa and chips

After a hot day on the road (US Route 60) crossing Oklahoma and the Texas Panhandle, we swung into Clovis in time to watch the sun go down over the freight yards. Hungry and thirsty after all this hot dusty miles with the top down, we headed to Leal's for some cold Mexican beer and a ton of food. Delicious.... More

Stuffed avocado!! Chicken fajita meat and cheese, inside a battered and deep fried avocado. It is absolutely the best thing I've ever had!! The chips and salsa are good and the service is normally fast and friendly.

I was excited to finally get to New Mexico for some authentic Mexican food and ended up a bit disappointed. Pretty average. Apparently known for their chips and salsa as they sell it packaged, I found the chips to be flavorless and almost stale tasting. The rest of the food was fine, but nothing to write home about. I did... More

I've always made it a point to try a place 3 or 4 times before I pan them...unfortunately Leal's struck out with me. No flavor! I prefer...wait for it...Taco Bell, seriously! Sorry Leal's.
