This place is hands down the best Chinese food I've had in my life. But the atmosphere could use some redecoration. As far as the uncleanliness reviews go, I've never seen them do anything unsanitary or seen any bugs/roaches etc. Very close to base, would recommend to anyone! I even had a friend visit from Portland who says he wants... More

Went to Saeng's about three times and never had any good meal and the buffet is the worst of all. The ingredients are subpar and they try to cover this up by making things extra spicy and even the spices are wrong! I have never tasted a worse Pad Thai and I have tried many over time. The place is... More

I have been here a number of times because it's close to the base and quick enou for lunch. The food is actually pretty great, but every time I have been I have seen at least one dead cockroach. I suppose dead is better than live, but the dead ones were live once... So, not for clean freaks, but good... More

one of the wife's favorite places for chicken fried rice. Home made food, in a tiny shack.

This place looks like a dump, but don't be fooled. They keep it very clean and you can see into the kitchen. Saeng is from Thailand and all her food is authentic. The Pad Thai is the best I've ever had. Order a degree less spicy than you normally would, as Saeng's "mild" is equivilent to other restaurant's "hot."

Traveling to Waco, we are always looking for a decent place to eat. Found Saeng's in Clovis by the AF base. We had iced tea and the Laab Salad and paid a whopping $20 for a plate that wasn't what we are accustomed to at other Thai places. Flavor was ok but know that it has tripe in it. Perhaps... More

I decided to try this place because it is so close to the base. After talking to several friends they warned me to order my food mild because they use a very spicy chili paste. I think next time I will get a medium, but I was sweating a good bit even with just mild. I ordered the pork basil... More

Saeng's is not the worst place I've ever eaten. The Pad-Thai is decent. I think the chef uses planter's roasted peanuts on the dish which makes it fairly tastey. The building is a breath away from collapsing, but then again what building in Clovis isn't. The food is cooked on the hot side, so order a lower heat then you... More

This place is absolutely delicious, Saeng only uses top quality authentic ingredients and you can really tell the difference. I have been coming here for about 21/2 years, I've tried just about everything on the menu and I don't think that I have ever not liked one thing that I've had. The Thai Special Soup (S-5) is without a doubt... More
