Great food, Great service, What more can you ask for. My problem is I dont know what to order. Hidden secret in town.
We are frequent visitors here, myself and the wife. We love it and thinks it's the BEST and most authentic Mexican food in town. We're always finding an excuse to bring friends and family here too. Everything is good and when we're there early I get to eat my favorite Heuvos Rancheros.
I love the salsa, carne asada and fresh tortillas! Overall I've never had anything at La Espiga that I didn't think was very good! Nice to have something different in Mexican cuisine like the carne asada, carne adovada taco's with cilantro and lime! The chips are so fresh too!
We have eaten there numerous times and it has always been good. Friendly wait staff and quick preparation of your food. This cusine, mostly is not Tex-Mex; it is authentic Mexican food like you would encounter in many restuants in Mexico. Very easy to get to, however not much parking available there.
The King Burrito is awesome. Better be prepared to eat half later though... The wait staff is attentive, and since they cleared out some space, there is more room to sit.
This is a very good Mexican restaurant located in downtown Clovis. The service was fast and friendly and the food was plentiful and tasty. Opens early at 6:00 AM so great for breakfast or any time. Good value with fresh food. It appears the name has been changed to "La Familia." Easy to find with new sign on North Prince.
Best mexican food in town, their king burritos are the best, especially the carne asada. They're loaded with whatever you want, and feel as though they weigh 2 pounds. Also their tortillas are hands down the fluffiest.
During a recent visit in Clovis, La Espiga de Oro was recommended, as a good place for Mexican food and we were not disappointed. The menu is extensive with many different selections for light meals or larger appetites. The prices are very reasonable and service is excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Don't judge the book, or in this case the restaurant, by its cover. It certainly is not a fancy atmosphere dining experience, but the staff is friendly and the food is out of this world. I had the four tacos with grilled beef and my wife had the four tacos with chicken. Both were delicious. We should have just gotten... More
