Nice respite

Rabbit Ear Cafe provides a welcome respite in an area that doesn't have a lot of good choices. We were there for a late breakfast on a long drive and enjoyed the huevos rancheros and the good coffee. Friendly service also.

We stopped here on our way to CO. It was packed on a Sunday afternoon. The food was good basic food. The service was slow. Son said the burger and onion rings were very good. The chicken fajita salad had very little salad but a lot of beans in the bottom of the fried tortilla salad bowl.

We gave Rabbit Ear another chance and were more pleased than on our last visit. The chile rellenos are made in house. My husband had the fried catfish and enjoyed it and the American food side dishes. I don't care for their Mexican rice but the beans are quite good. Service is always lackadaisical. Just relax and don't be in... More

What an incredible taste sensation! Exceptional food, excellent service, great price. I had the Mexican Steak, a house specialty and it was so delicious, what a combination of flavors, hope I drive through here again. Didn't expect to find anything like this in this small town. Everyone was very friendly too. Do yourself a favor and make a point to... More

We had the green chili cheeseburgers, they were to die for. Staff very friendly, they were very busy so the wait was a little long but worth it! They do not close at 3. They r open for dinner.

My husband loves, loves, loves the chili reallanos. It's a nice atmosphere, friendly staff, and reasonable price. Offers a variety of mexican and american cuisene. It's our go to restaurant when we are in the Clayton area.

Fantastic Green Chile Cheesburger, great Mexican food. Generous portions and excellent service. Locally crafted art-work available for purchase! Definitely stop in if you're driving by!

Lots of locals as the eating establishments are few and far between. This was the first mom-and-pop place we saw driving North from Texas, so we stopped as I was looking forward to eating some traditional New Mexico food. It was just ok, not really "New Mexico" food like I was use to eating when we lived in Albuquerque many... More
