The Restaurante is a favorite stop on the High Road and also popular with local people. We sat in the glassed-in room looking onto the patio. A fire burned in a large fireplace in an adjacent room by the bar. The menu includes a range of choices, and my wife and I found our meals excellent. I had the Restaurante's... More

Located in the little village of Chimayo, this great restaurant is situated in an old Adobe building. There's dining on the terraced patio, too. Wonderful atmosphere, terrific New Mexican cuisine. Very popular spot. You might want to make a reservation, particularly during Opera season.

Never sit near a door or the draft and rushing servers will drive you bananas. It can get rather loud because of there are many large tables that serve large groups next to tables of 4. We were given the only 2 person table next to the drafty door. Two other patrons were given a table of four, so I... More

We went to the church and just looked around for a while and asked about the restaurant. They said we were lucky because they open Mon - friday for the holidays. Lucky us , this was a great experience in a very small community. The enchiladas are great as well as the service. We asked for chopped jalepenos and they... More

We have gone here in the past taking visitors by the Santuario or just for lunch just because. It is romantic with its terraced tables in the summer and cozy with the fires in the winter. The taste is authentic Northern New Mexican cuisine and I enjoy it every time. They were also selling some local honey they used on... More

This restaurant has been re-invigorated since it reopened after a fire about two years ago. Very popular with the local families and a wonderful dining experience for out-of-town guests and visitors. Well worth the drive from Santa Fe. In the Winter it is warm and cozy, but can be very crowded during the holiday season. In the Spring/Summer the outside... More

You have to drive 22 miles from Santa Fe, but it is a must. They do breakfast 8:30 to 10:00 and few places are going to get you that blue corn pancake or other New Mexican favorites with such a great price. Dinner is great and you have alot of variety. Good for the whole family.

I was on vacation in New Mexico with my best friend and one of the things we like to do is eat good food. Well, after doing some nice art shopping my friend suggested we go have dinner at this restaurant he heard of located in Chimayo, NM. So, we took the hour drive there and the place is rather... Traveling through the Chimayo area demands a stop at this historic place. The red chili is a rich flavorful elixir that will make you understand what New Mexico red chili is all based off of. The service is exceptional and very friendly and conversational.
