I was introduced to this treasure many years ago on my 1st visit to New Mexico and have returned every time I am in the area. I have never been disappointed, and my guests always thank me for introducing them to the fresh cuisine. Over the years I have tried many dishes, even a special turkey dish offered one Mother's... Great menu. Awesome green chili. Staff is friendly and helpful. Ate here several times and loved everything I tried.

Seems locals drive from Santa Fe to this place..It was worth the drive. Setting is in an old New Mexice farm house...great charm. Gracious host.

I revisited this restaurant based on a 20-year memory, and sadly found it lackluster. Yes, food is good, well-priced, but the restaurant is ordinary. It is the only game in town in Chimayo, almost across the street from the sanctuary, so expect a lot of people.

No trip to Santa Fe would be complete without a meal here. The owner is a wonderful woman and very hospitable. We dined on the back patio and it was wonderful. Margarita was great, Enchiladas were great, my wife loved her chicken dish and our guest tired the salmon...outstanding. We have been here several times over the years and it... More

Pros: Spacious, very, very roomy, has indoor and outdoor seatings Wait staff seemed to be friendly in general Good food in general, good value for the money Cons: Maybe a one off thing but we experienced these - Careless mistake from this well established institution - ground beef bits on my plate though it was not part of my order... The food (especially the green chili) was wonderful, and the service was excellent. We thought $10 for a margarita a bit much, however.

Went there and found they had a wedding, occupying about 70% of the outside. We asked to be seated outside and were told there would be a slight wait...two others were in front of us so we said ok...the "GIRL" behind the desk was a little out of it..we waited and she told us not outside seating for the next... Rancho de Chimayó offers the best local fare in the area. The setting and the ambience (especially on the rear patio) is terrific. If you are in Chimayó to see visit the Santuario, then Rancho de Chimayó is a wonderful place to end your day with a margarita and some wonderful examples of Northern New Mexico food! We will go... A little expensive for the food (I mean, it is southwestern food and margaritas not steak and wine) but, it is a 'famous' location. The back patio is nice with a good ambiance (although if you don't like the guy with the guitar watch out he was singing all over the place!) They allowed our small dog which was convenient.... More
