This is our 3rd favorite place to eat in Santa Fe. We always make time to her with my wife's Aunt, a long-time Santa Fe resident.

If you have a car, head out to Chimayo and enjoy the rugged views outside of Santa Fe. The Rancho has been making excellent New Mexican sopapillas, rellenos, and enchiladas for years. Lunch is casual, but dinner is beautiful by candlelight.

We came here on vacation about 12 years ago and had such a great experience, that I bought their cookbook and have tried many of the recipes, as cooking different ethnic food is my passion. I have dreamed of coming back here again, and I was so excited to finally make it back here and eat their amazing food. The... More

Well, this is typical New Mexican food, but it was fresh, and the green (my wife had it on her chicken) and red (on my enchiladas) were both hot enough and delicious. The flan was awesome. I would have rather sat outdoors (beautiful tree-shaded patio) but, my bad, I forgot to specify that when I made my reservations for Saturday... More

Our second visit to this Restaurant wasn't any better than the first and I have no wish to go there again. We asked for the outdoor seating and were placed at a table facing the bright hot afternoon sun. There were several tables empty and in the shade and when we asked why we couldn't sit there the explanation was... More

We stayed at the hotel across the road and took a number of meals here, both breakfast and dinner. The staff was very helpful and friendly. They explained dishes to us and made recommendations. The statutes outside of St. Francis of Assisi and St Peter where very interesting. They are metal and modern. This is traditional cuisine of the area.... More

We came upon this large restaurant and pottery and crafts shop by chance after visiting the Sanctuario de Chimayo, a Roman Catholic place of pilgrimage (and legendary miraculous cures). There are dining rooms indoors, and then a fairly extensive and delightful group of terraced areas in back for outdoor dining under umbrellas. We didn't have a problem with bugs there.... More

After touring the local Santuario DeChimayo and Chavez Gallery - it's a close and local yummy stop. 1. It was busy and we could see why! 2. There are several areas inside the restaurant to sit and eat - outside, semi-inside/outside and then inside. The middle part looked to be hot on a sunny day, but a good choice (per... More

we sat in the back patio. that is a lovely area, but there is a problem with bugs and flies. not the restaurant's fault of course, but just keep it in mind if you choose to sit there. had great nachos, tacos, enchiladas and wonderful sopapillas. i liked the actual hacienda a lot and you can't beat the prices.

We head to Santa Fe every 4-5 years and are always amazed how great this is. Terrific food (the Flautas rock and Natilla for dessert is superb) very reasonably priced in a beautiful setting especially if you eat on the back patio which has both shade and heaters. Worth the drive from Santa Fe or Taos because the drive itself... More
