Since we prefer authentic Mexican food, we tend to shy away from New Mexican but this was definitely some of the very best we have ever enjoyed! Even though a sizable group from a tour bus had been seated shortly before our arrival, we were quite pleased with the timing of our order. Definitely a spot we will return to... More

My wife and I have been enjoying dinner, lunch or breakfast (Sundays only) at the Rancho De Chimayo going on 10 years and every time the food is so scrumptious, and every time we go there this magical restaurant delights our taste-buds. From a green chilie or red chicken enchilada to a plate of huevos rancheros,I call huevos rancher or to an... More

When our assigned waiter finally came to our table (after a manager had finally taken our orders) he waved his hand at the floor telling us that our table lay outside his normal station. He brought our food and our check, never refilled our iced teas, never apologized, and said he'd be back in a minute when we asked for... More

Aside from being sat at first in a room without diners, and having to ask to move to the room with other diners, this was a tremendous meal. The tamales stuffed with pork were actually the favorite of the afternoon, and probably the best we've ever had (light with a focus on the meat). the carne abdovada was delicious with... More

I don't care much about service, so long as it's not rude and totally doesn't suck. This place does ok, probably better if you dress up and act formal like they want. I was on a bike trip, so didn't get the best attitude, but the Carne Adovada was as good as you'll ever eat. Rustic, not smooth red chile,... More

It's about a 25 minute drive from Santa Fe. Worth the time to stop by and see the Santuario de Chimayo before going to Rancho Chimayo restaurant. Reservations can be helpful during peak times (Fall and Spring). Good local New Mexico cuisine. Good green chile stew. Staff very friendly and helpful. Outdoor seating is good (April - October) to watch... More

Excellent service, food prices are very reasonable. Good value for your money. People come from all over NM to eat here. Busiest place in all of Chimayo. There is also a gift shop and jewelry / art for sale.

The town of Chimayo is worth coming to just for the drive, the church and the chile store next door (they have amazing dried red chile...both sundried and machine dried). This restauant just down the road, has good food, a great back patio, really good honey and fantastic service. Would happily eat here again.

We had lunch at Rancho de Chimayo with friends, and it was delicious. The chile is amazing and the service is wonderful. A wonderful place to stop by when in the area.

The restaurant was built up and proved to be a disappointment. Food was average, tamales were dry. Seems like they were short staffed as we had to ask more than a few times for chips.
