Great Meal in Rural Setting

Not a lot of choices in this magnificent rural setting, but this place fills the bill. Great food, wonderful service, and huge portions. I had a chicken/bacon wrap with side salad and I ended up bringing half of the wrap home.

On the spur of the moment we decided to have lunch and The Greenside Cafe was close. We were promptly seated and our server quickly arrived. She was very friendly with a smile that just didn't quit. They have a fair selection of beers so I enjoyed a Marble stout. We placed our orders and didn't wait very long for... More

I wish we would have eaten in Madrid! The further south you go on the Trail, the fewer options. Greenside was a clean comfortable restaurant in strip mall type location. The food was good, not amazing, and was probably only a bit of a let down after the string of fabulous meals we had in Santa Fe. I had the... More

The food is solid and the portions are generous. The service is friendly and attentive. If the food was a little more inspired I would give it a 4 stars but for the most part it is just good. There are very few restaurants in the area so it can be convenient when you do not want to drive into... More

This is a review from 20 Feb 2015 for a family of four. I ordered the Chicken fried Steak which included mashed, fresh (not frozen) broccoli, zucchini and other veggies. The plate was hot and was an excellent example of what CFS should be. My wife had the Udon Peanut noodles with chicken which she thought a bit to salty.... More

I've been coming here for several years. I'm not sure what happened to this place. It's looking a bit run down. The base boards are missing in places, several dings in the paint and holes in the bathroom walls. It could use some TLC. The art work is still really nice. Interesting display of bikes and pictures of the surrounding... More

Handy location for us, good food and well-priced in general. I guess we'd like to have toast with our eggs some times but maybe that's old fashioned.

It's the only place some of my parent's friends will eat at, I think it's kind of bland...nothing to write home about. Sometimes they will have interesting things on the menu. Not a bad place to sit and enjoy a glass of wine and a beer. Little pricey for what you get.

We live in the area and have eaten at Greenside fairly regularly since it opened. It seems the food has gone down in quality and gotten more expensive over time. We had dinner there tonight and were very disappointed. My husband had the Monte Cristo sandwich. It was cold and soggy and the cheese was not even melted. I almost... More

There are a few decent items on the menu, but I would like to see a few more healthy choices with less processed ingredients. The more I eat out in Cedar Crest, the more I want to cook at home.
