Good family restaurant

No frills, home cooking diner. A local favorite and it is always sooo good. Everything on the menu is good, but I always get the fajitas or cheese enchiladas. The staff is lovely.

Authentic, homemade New Mexican fare. The green chili is amazing and not for those who can't handle spice. The salsa was one of the best that I've ever had.

Almost like grandma's food, if you've grown up in NM. I've only been for breakfast but we have gone back numerous times. Great family place. I always get the calabacita burrito and add either ham or bacon. I always get Christmas ( red and green chili) on the side so I can see which tastes better. Neither Chili has meat... More

Very busy, service was very good when they got to us. Very friendly staff. We discussed the differences between New Mexican and Arizona food cultures. Enchiladas were great.

Are you in the mood for Ceviche and mariscos?? Or Tortas and tapas?? Then your in the wrong place. Abuelita's NEW Mexiacan restrautant is exactly that, New Mexican cuisine. Yes you can get beans and rice, chips and salsa and guac because who doesn't like that? Order the Tamale plate, or get the New Mexican steak dinner. A Stuffed Sopapilla... More

Friendly service in a small town, local cafe. Generous portions with tasty green chili stew and outstanding enchiladas. Navajo taco was huge and delicious,

We went to Santa Fe from Albuquerque and we wanted to eat in neither place. Bernalillo seemed the perfect place, a small town right off the freeway: convenient. We checked trip advisor, and this looked like a good bet. All the traditional New Mexican foods made wright there. We were surprised how quickly the food came out. Good food, simple... More

The red wasn't something I'd rush back for, but the green sure was. The shredded beef enchiladas are outstanding and the cheese and chicken enchis are very delicious. Carnitas are great. Free natillas on the weekend let you know you're in a real family place. Worth a stop...worth a return visit!

Underwhelmed by the restaurants at Tamaya Resort we ventured to Abuelita's for lunch and enjoyed it very much. The food was solid with friendly staff. My wife especially liked her "sopapilla burrito"!
