Very good!

My first trip to Pete's. The New Mexican food is fresh, plentiful without being too much. Service is above average. Lovely, comfy atmosphere. Wait staff is well trained and attentive. Spotless, very good New Mexican art, above par furnishings.

Ate there 6/30. Restaurant sits on side road several blocks off the main highway. There was plenty of parking when we arrived around 5pm, including some under a cover. Restaurant sits next to a free museum. It does not look like a typical Mexican restaurant from the outside. The lobby is nicely decorated in Southwest décor as is the dining... More

I've never really been a Chili Rellenos fan - but now I am. Everytime I treat myself to Pete's I swear I am going to order and discover something new on the menu, but it never happens These smokey chilis are crisp to the bite, crunchy with the breading, and oozing with the cheese. OMG - what flavor. Chips and... More

I found the food to be really greasy and I ended up with acid reflux and was sick all night. I think Mexican restaurants need to stop using old recipes made with lard and look for healthier alternatives to so much fat in the food.

We stopped on a hot day after a long drive and were SO glad that we did. There were many locals eating in addition to the tourists, which I always think is a good sign. My husband had Pork Avodado with Green Chile and he found it to be very good. It was shredded pork, different from his last experience,... More

We stopped by Pete's for lunch. It is not far from the Interstate. We had a terrific, reasonably priced, authentic Mexican lunch. The service was top-notched.

I've been here numerous times and I will say that the food is great, but the service is always mediocre. I feel almost like an inconvenience to the waitstaff and honestly, I get the worst service from the owners. I dread being helped by them probably as much as they dread just being there. If the food wasn't so good I... More

First of all the place has a beautiful decoration. Very good taste tapestries and ceramics. The service was great and the food, one of the best traditional New Mexican food. I had to order the green chili on the side because I was warned that it was hot, and yes, it was tooooo hot for me.

First time I had ever been there, Pete's is the real deal. The dinner was just fantastic, well presented, well prepared, authentic dishes. The family owned restaurant shows you the wayrealMexican should be prepared! I could eat there every night.

If service is important you'll like Pete's Cafe. I had a stuffed sopapilla with beef and beans and a side of sour cream. I ate the whole thing. Thank goodness I ordered it ala carte. It's plenty big for a delicious lunch. The margarita was a great complement to the stuffed sopapilla and was delicious. I walked away satisfied and... More
