Nice authentic restaurant

We had lunch at this family restaurant, and we felt like we were on a farm in the middle of nowhere, which is a nice feeling with all the tourists around. The food was okay, but the banana pancake here is to die for. Try it.

We walked from our resort to Sakura to give it a try. The hosts there are great; they have clearly seen a business opportunity and are keen to project a friendly and relaxed restaurant. As we had walked there, which was further than we expected, we were even given a lift back to the gate of our resort - great... More

Went here twice while staying on Phu Quoc Island. We were staying just down the road at the Seasense resort (which was also fantastic) so it was really good and close. Both times we went we good food which was only outdone by the amazing service we received. The food is really authentic home-style Vietnamese food. This is by no... More

Phu Quoc is littered with expensive resort food or very basic cafes and street food. Sakura strikes a careful balance of good value, honest food whilst being incredibly tasty and plentiful. Sakura is situated in close proximity to Chen Sea resort (barely a 5 minute taxi ride) and Mango Bay, although it's a little out of the way so a... More

After seeing Sakura at #4 on TripAdvisor we decided to visit. The experience was all-round average. We ordered the vegetarian spring rolls which were ok, but I found a long black hair in the first one I bit into. I showed the owner who didn't apologise or offer anything in return. But that's just Vietnamese culture for you. The chicken... More

Sakura is worth a visit. It is simple, honest and reasonably priced food. Most of all, its delicious. We stayed at Mango Bay and visited Sakura 3 times during our holiday. We tried something different every time and the food was always great.

Great food and such a lovely and friendly owner. The food was traditional Vietnamese and Ms. Kiem catered for foreigners allowing them to enjoy the meal by asking customers about their taste and preferences towards spiciness of food or how things should be cooked etc... We stayed at Mango Bay and after reading the reviews on Trip Advisor, we wandered... More

If you are staying at Mango Bay take a short walk to this restaurant, the food is half the price and just as good. Fairly basic Vietnamese style restaurant, very good selection on menu. Go early, can get busy and run out of most popular fresh fish for example, crab. We don't mind this as it shows food is purchased... More
