I lived four and a half years on Phu Quoc island. Sakura restaurant is definitely THE best place to get dinner or lunch. A little bit far away from Duong Dong (on the road to Cua Can) but really worthy. Food is good, generously served and cheap. I do recommend it without any hesitation. I never got disappointed.

Staying at Eco beach resort this was our local restaurant of choice. Only a 15 min walk / 3 min scooter journey meant we visited a number of times during our stay. Family run, friendly service, in a simple outdoor setting with an authentic and well thought-out menu. Highlights were the seafood hotpot, fish in a clay pot and baguettes... More

Towards the end of our 1 week in Pho Quoc we discovered this resto. We had seen it some days earlier, but as it looked like a roadside nothing, we gave it a miss. The 2nd time we came here as an expat on the island mentioned it - and wow ! such a mistake not to have come here... More

Just returned from Phu Quoc and would like to say how much we loved Sakura at Ong Lang. Great food at good prices. Kiem was lovely and speaks very good English. Spent many days and nights at this restaurant. The staff were lovely and very attentive. Kiem even arranged a birthday party for my sister - cake, flowers and food.... More

We decided to try this place as the reviews were so good. It's s bit out of the way but a tuk tuk will get you there for cheap. The lady was very good and told us when she thought we ordered too much food. Was the nicest food we had when in Vietnam . Very reasonably priced too.

If you're staying at a resort near by it's not a mistake to have a dinner at Sakura. But it's nothing special at all, not worth the ride from another location. We stayed at Mango Bay Resort and were adjusted to their fantastic food in combination with nice presentation and location. So Sakura was a bit of a let down... More

Local tasty super affordable food. We went 4 times! Well worth visiting, best to take a taxi there as quite difficult to get to in the dark with lots of roaming dogs!

Variety of food. Good, but nothing special. I expected more after reading all those reviews. I would recommend it if you are staying in the vicinity. Far from the main city centre, bad road. All dishes more spicy than anywhere else.

We loved the food at Sakura. The coconut cream curry dishes were amazing as I was having curry withdrawal. All the things we tried on the menu were tasty and the owner is good at giving suggestions and letting you know when you have ordered too much food. Very reasonable pricing.
