Description: This is a fabulous, newly opened restuarant along the main road in Duong Dong, near the beach and many resorts. The food is all homemade, including the warm bread and jam! While we stayed in Phu Quoc, we noticed that many customers, including my wife and I, came back to this delightful place more than once. The Swedish owners and Vietnamese staff are friendly and welcoming and will do all they can to make your stay on the island a memorable one.

This restaurant is closed and the front door locked. It looks like it has closed down permanently with rubbish at the front.

Did have dinner here which was ok, but found this was better as a bar for a nice chilled out drink. The decor, music and lighting were very relaxing. Staff were friendly and eager to please. Would recommend maybe having desert and after dinner drinks here.

We were encouraged to visit Mondo by fellow travelers. We took: Pork meat balls: the tastiest of what we ordered but they did not come as described on the menu: on a bed of veggies and covered with cheese Tomatoes with onions: we opted for a basic entry but the onions where surprisingly sauté, which kills teh flavour of the... I make it a point to try a tapas place in nearly every city that I stop in so I was excited to see that Phu Quoc had a tapas restaurant. I say this so you know that it's not just that it's hard to get really good tapas in SE Asia, because I've had some. I was looking forward... More

Well, after being away from Phu Quoc for many years I can confirm that Mondo has not lost its edge, if anything it has got better. Although I was only on the island a week, I returned 3 times as it was reliably the most consistent and enjoyable meal on the island.

Like most recommendation we pulled this one out of our trusty lonely planet. As much as the fastly prepped local produce and food can be plentiful and dominate most meals on Phu Quoc. It is nice some times to get a taste of home for the western traveller. Mondo offer a great selection of Tapas, pasta dishes cheeky deserts and... More

Average food, dull staff...and pricey comparing of what you get. Nothing special. Completely empty during lunch time...maybe I know why
