We enjoyed the food here - there's a choice of two tasting menus and we went for the five course one. The food quality was good but the sizes were small - the final course of macaroon was the size of a Malteaser. The soup was also small and what I would expect to be served as an amuse-bouche in... My partner and I decided to have the 12 course tasting menu; some of the courses were delicious, others were downright weird or contained weird flavour combinations. One of the greatest sins was that 2 of our wines, from the pairing with the menu, were served too cold to be able to taste properly. In addition, the servings did not... More

Our group of 4 visited Mejekawi for the 12 course degustation as a birthday treat (2 of our party). Not being a regular fine diner I was quickly impressed! We started with cocktails upstairs on the daybeds as the sunset on seminyak beach - stunning! We were seated at the front of the restaurant with a view of the beach,... More

Had a 12 course tasting menu at the Mejekawi. We were told it was a fusion menu and did not know what to expect but decided to go for it. When we entered KuDeTa we were given an option of dining at KuDeTa or at Mejekawi. After quickly browsing through the menu and looking at the prices, it was expensive... More

Went for the 5 course tasting menu, loved the food and sitting right near the open kitchen was a great experience. The seafood stew was one of the best meals we've eaten. Fantastic bottle of New Zealand wine and some lovely cocktails to start the meal. Great service. Only reason I wouldn't give 5 stars is that the restaurant was... More

Love everything about Mejakawi, the service, the amazing food, the wine on every occasion I've been there. Always consistent and always a 'special' night out. Would highly recommend.

As I like to consider myself somewhat of a foodie, searching for a great restaurant whilst traveling anywhere generally falls between booking my flights and sorting my accommodation... Sure like anyone that has visited Bali in the last 10 years, I had visited KuDeTa on many occasions... After all it is a Bali institution of fine food, wine, service, music... More

We went for a 40th bday celebration (5 courses) staff were super accommodating on dishes that some of the girls didn't want. They explained the menu in detail & it was all delicious. Chocolate soufflé to die for. Kudeta rocks it's cocktails, atmosphere, food & staff - hard to beat!

I booked in for the 12 course degustation with matching wines. On arrival we decided to only go for the 5 course. The wines were nice. Food was not 'wow' as one would expect, especially for the price! $330 for two - a lot of money in Bali. I would not return. Sorry Ku De Ta. Service was good.

We would rate this as in the same class as Mugaritz, El Celler de Can Roca, Arpege, Per Se, Bouley, Rockpooke, Tetsuyas and Attica. The food was highly innovative, the ingredients top notch and the staff easily amongst the best in the international hospitality industry. For example, cigar on the balcony with one of three first courses while watching sunset... More
