3 Days in a row, fantastic. We just had to go back as there were just too many lovely dishes. Day 1 was Dim Sum & Consummé as starters, Thai curry, Honey Chicken and Chicken Rice noodles as main, ending with Chocolate Spring rolls and Fried Banana. Every single dish prepared to perfection and an explosion of flavours. Our lovely... More

No complaints at all. The food and the service is great. Lovely variety of starters and soups, Super spicy thai curries & delicious noodle dishes. Best and freshest sushi I've ever had (we went on Saturday for the 50% off special). We were in the Strand for 2 weeks and unfortunately only found this gold mine in the last week.... More

I simply do not understand the mixed reviews here. I can't understand what people want. We almost did not go to the Wang Thai because of the conflicting reviews, but am I ever glad we did! The Medley of Dimsum is a must as a starter. From there we went into a Thai Curry, Honey Chicken and a noodle dish.... More

My Wife and I left work and decided to go to The Wang Thai restaurant on the Old Stellenbosch Rd. Somerset West. It was quiet but we were welcome by the staff and given a pleasant table for two. The service was good and our waiter took our drinks oder and in no time he was back with our order.... More

Not been to Somerset West Wang Thai for 4 years. Went for lunch.. This WT needs a kick in the proverbial! Starters were OK, prawns especially, but only one of three mains acceptable. Stay away from their seafood pot... stinks somewhat, the terriaki fish dried out, almost inedible. Good Thai beef tho. Lovely egg fried rice but the steamed rice... More

I really enjoyed the variety on their menu. They also serve big portions which makes it easy to share between friends. Their sushi is really good!

Thai food ranks outside my top 5 faves, but this place did the cause of Thai cuisine a lot of good. Friendly service, great winter warmer deal andyummy food with a kick. Crispy wontons followed by a Mussalmaan curry did the job.

Excellent Sushi and very helpful and friendly service. View was great over looking Somerset West/Strand and the sea. Would recommend the pork and Blue Island Cocktail!
