Unique experience!

If you're looking for a restaurant in a great setting, good service and fine dining, this establishment is worth visiting. The portions are on the small side, but you'll certainly experience a plate of food comprising interesting flavours and textures. My only criticism would be that there is... read more

The venue is great, the service friendly be it slightly false and over the top. The food presentation was ridiculously pretentious but fairly flavoursome. What really got us was the pressure to order because the kitchen was closing for orders at 1-30, and that is for a Sunday lunch. Such a pity that we will give it a miss because... More

We visited, for the fifth time this year, on Friday evening. Muy friend from her UK is here on holiday and, it was, until Friday, our favourite restaurant. What a disappointing evening. Firstly they really do need to do something about the heating, we asked for blankets and luckily got some. We ordered and it all started out so fine.... More

My second visit at the Restaurant at Waterkloof. I like the architecture of that place - very stylish. They offer various course menus. All dishes were very good, nicely presented, of high quality and very tasty. The estate wines fit well with the menu. It's long way up to the restaurant - but worth to go for it.

Superb position with stunning views down the mountain and across the bay. The food was equally superb. The courses were all delicious and adventurously presented. The pea starter was amazing and will stay in my memory for a long time. The service was efficient and friendly with good course descriptions by an obviously well trained waiter. The wines were delicious... More

De venue is great , the food is ok but the portions are way too small . In the area you can find the same quality for less money for twice the size ! The venue is superb tough and a experience !

The Waterkloof restaurant situated on the wine farm is stunning. As far as fine dining restaurants go I cant say it's one of the best. Having said that my wife's vegetarian dishes looked amazing and I actually wish that I had gone the vegetarian route. The meat dishes were ok but nothing to get too excited about. Overall a little... My wife and I were thrilled when her brother invited us to this "fantastic" restaurant on a wine farm during our recent visit to the Somerset-West area. We anticipated a great evening out with superb food and wine, especially considering their prices. The view from the mountainside where it nestled (especially at night) was worth the drive. Magnificent! For a... More

Waterkloof is in a stunning location with the most beautiful view. The restaurant is placed high up in the hills, overlooking the mountains and the sea. Service was very good, the food was beautifully presented but the portions are minute and for my personal taste the food is not particularly well seasoned. If you like good food which is presented... Setting: 10/10. Expectation: 10/10. Result: 4/10. Modern with stunning views of False Bay and the surrounding mountains with quirky architecture. I think they are relying on either reputation or the foreign visitors with lower expectations... Service was abysmal with a real search to find who was actually our designated waiter... For the prices the "fine dining" portions weren't great. I... More
