Well, having read the "poor" and "terrible" reviews on this restaurant, I am not sure we went to the same place... I have eaten here 4 times in the last 6 months and loved every meal. The setting is one of the most beautiful places you will ever eat - surrounded by the HH mountains, vineyards, views across False Bay... More

Stunning location set in the hills above False Bay this excellent winery restaurant continues to set new standards for SA re stair ants. Stylish "nouvelle cuisine" excellent ingredients and presentation. The Waterkloof wines too are brilliant with the Syrah one of the best tasted. Efficient and friendly staff. Certainly worth the effort to go to Somerset West

I have the pleasure of eating at many great restaurants, formal to informal. I contend this was one of the best overall experiences. We were visiting family in Cape Town, and my nephew, a chef, suggested we go there for dinner (six of us). First, the view is breath taking. We stared with wine around the wood burning fireplace and... More

We have only been once to this restaurant, and I do not care to go again, The ambiance is fine, the views delightful, the cutlery, crockery and glassware were chosen with care. Then we come to the food. Old fashioned Nouvelle Cuisine was order of the day. That translates as little food for a lot of money. My starter was... More

In the middle of the vineyard with the same name the restaurant is one of the most visible attraction points in Waterkloof Vineyard. Of course the wine is excellent, the food amazing and the service more than top! And all of this for very little money (a 5 course meal inclusive 5 different wines for only €40). Of course it's... When driving uphill to the restaurant you will be impressed by the location of the restaurant. The design of the building and the interior of the restaurant is perfect. Food very tasty and wines superb. When in Cape Town or surroundings don't miss it.

We were lucky to be introduced to Watercloof by our wine merchant in the Uk,Amps of Oundle. If you plan to visit the winery ask if they will give you a vinyard tour. This no ordinary vinyard it is organic and all the ploughing is done by wonderfull Pershiron Horses, the workers prune by hand and everything is recycled for... More
