Went for supper last night , and what a delight, tables beautifully set, staff as always lovely and the food was to die for, tasty, spicy and all the different flavours blended together giving an exotic experience. Well worth a visit,

It is impossible to beleive that this place can run as a cooking school. All of that, and articles about cuisine internationale seems to have vanished and all that is left is some form of pizzeria open only certain nights. The pizzas took a very long to arrive, are tiny portions (husband could eat 4 or 5 for a meal)... More

Dear Jsmith4731 Thank you for your note regarding African Relish. I apologise for your unsatisfactory experience. African Relish does not run a regular restaurant as with all the interruptions from cooking classes we can not offer consistency in either quality or delivery. The "pizza" evenings are a once a week local food occasion to open the cooking school for light... More

It was a long drive from Franschhoek, but very much worth the drive! The hands on cooking classes with Jeremy were both informative and fun, and the service from Verna and Donovan was outstanding! My husband and I stayed at their Karoo Cottages, which were comfortable, quaint, and charming for 2 nights, and took the cooking classes for 2 days.... More

African Relish hosted back to back evening functions for our group of 50 motorcyclists during our weekend stay in Prince Albert. The setting is beautiful, the service was great with smiling staff who were very welcoming and the food was good. The first night we had a traditional South African braai (BBQ) and the second night a Cape Malay menu.... More

First of all...picture perfect setting. Great hostess. But damn, their pizzas are terrible. Big disappointment, seeing that they give themselves out as a cooking school. Just came from Outeniqua trout lodge, where the pizzas are HEAVENLY!!!!!

Dear Guest What a disappointment to have such a review when you strive to deliver the best home made pizza bases and self cured charcuterie for pizza toppings to your guests. We have had so many compliments from our other guests that a comment like this on such a social platform is extremely hurtful. Thanks in any way for commenting... More

I attended the Richard Bosman charcuterie course this year. Highly recommended! I knew nothing about charcuterie before attending, and I found the course to be highly informative and very practical. Everyone got involved and seemed to feel at home, largely thanks to the excellent hosts (Richard and Jeremy) and staff. The venue is very pleasant and of course the food... More

A day's cooking with Jeremy Freemantle at African Relish proved to be well worth the 4 hour drive from Cape Town. Not only is Prince Albert a real gem of a town with an eclectic mix of talented people but African Relish is a foodie dream come true. The school offers a variety of cuisines and we were treated to... More

What a disappointment. I had hoped for a good meal, having heard so much about it. Food took long to arrive, staff disinterested and the prices absolutely extortionate. Not up to expectation!
