We ordered the ploughmans platter (heaven) and summer salad (drenched in basil pesto and olive oil) to die for!! BUT the scones were disgusting!!!!!! Chicken strips were also so dry you needed a draught of beer to get it down! But we will def go again! Delicious salads and platters! The mist air... read more

The service is very poor. We waited so long for someone to cone and serve us that I had to get up myself and go inside to find someone. The food however is good. But the menu is very limited. And whether you arrive at 11:30 and would prefer the lunch menu you can only order breakfast till 12:00. I... More

After 2,5 hours of scenic passes and just enjoying the early morning cool drive, this oasis is a welcome break to a long road home. Friendly welcome, great coffee on offer and hearty breakfast. Worth the trip to any passing travelers.

Average coffee in a great setting overseen by a friendly and welcoming couple. Would like to have sampled the menu but had already eaten at the disappointing Lazy Lizard.

Really good food at really reasonable prices. Most eateries are crazy with their prices and this was a welcome change. They had stunning lamb pie as dish of the day that was superb and i had their wellknown ploughman's platter that was d e e e licious!!!!!!!!! In a cozy setup with aircon that is verrrry necessary on a 40... More

Fresh and prepared from natural ingredients. Artisan style breads are baked each day and are superb in that they lack preservatives. Shady trees provide a respite from the heat.

Nice atmosphere, clean and tidy. Efficient waitress and my first ostrich burger was quite good I think.

Per chance we stopped right in front of this coffee shop. Forming part of the Swartberg hotel, it turned out to be a delightful place to stop and catch our breath after long trip over the Swatrberg Pass. The staff are both friendly and efficient. I had the the local dish of bobotie ( South African Curried Mince Pie ),... More

Forms part of the Swartland Hotel, very stylish, excellent food, value for money food, friendly service, amazing setting and decor - felt like Old Colonial in the 1800's.
