Great place to stop in Prince Albert

We stopped at this spot quite by chance during a long day's drive through the Karoo. Nice tables in the shade, good simple food at reasonable prices and friendly service. Take a look inside the Swartberg Hotel next door - a beautifully maintained classic hotel.

Per chance we stopped right in front of this coffee shop. Forming part of the Swartberg hotel, it turned out to be a delightful place to stop and catch our breath after long trip over the Swatrberg Pass. The staff are both friendly and efficient. I had the the local dish of bobotie ( South African Curried Mince Pie ),... More

Forms part of the Swartland Hotel, very stylish, excellent food, value for money food, friendly service, amazing setting and decor - felt like Old Colonial in the 1800's.

After a long drive, we were looking forward to a good meal. We chose "The Coffee Shop" as our first choice. BIG MISTAKE! Very bad service, the staff were unprofessional - including the manager. The food didn't even arrive and the atmosphere was dull and silent. I do not recommend this place.

Enjoyed coffee here on an all too short visit to the town. Much nicer than nearby Oudtshoorn with real charm and plenty of nice places to shop and eat.

This is the go-to place for a delicious platter in Prince Albert; sit-in or takeaway. At the ridiculously low price of R48.00 (I speak under correction) you won't believe the amount of cheese, cold meats and wholesome bread slices The Coffee Shop's Ploughman's Platter contains. Gay's Dairy Pepper Cheese is a special treat on the platter. The atmosphere is also... More

We had breakfast here as part of our stay at the hotel. The breakfast were made to order and very tasty. They had freshly baked croissants and break too.

Stopped at The Coffee shop twice in the 2 days we stayed in Prince Albert. First time was just for coffee and scones which were lovely and fresh. Second time was for a milkshake and just as we like them - thick and yummy. A very pleasant place on a hot day with the fine "mist spray" to keep you... More

The coffee shop is shaded and comfortable. We were seated quickly and managed to secure a waitress who looked after us after that. Service can be a bit slow, but its to be expected in the busy holiday season. The food was simple and fresh and Karoo specials (lamb, bootie) can be ordered.
