Arrived in Prince Albert after 2pm on a Sunday having driven from Beaufort West. Chose the Lazy Lizard for its atmosphere. The service was a little slow but the food was tasty. We both suffered indigestion afterwards - not sure why. Iced tea and home made lemonade a little too sweet for our taste. Cakes looked good but we did... More

Had an enjoyable lunch at the Lizard during our recent stop-over in Prince Albert. Eclectic mix of food choices, as some were hungry and others not. Husband had Lamb curry which was very tasty and a good sized portion. It came with some divine freshly baked bread. The ciabatta and seed loaf were excellent. My dad & I shared a... More

We arrived just after 16:20and ordered something to drink. We realised that they close at five as we were rather rudely asked straight away if we want something from the kitchen. Ther were still other customers eating at this stage . We declined . At 16:45 cushions were taken off the xhairs around us and staff started gathering on the... More

Prince Albert may be in the middle of nowhere but come on, this great cafe is worth the drive which is a classic in any event. We had first class quiches, good soup and even better cake. The staff are friendly too and generally there is just a very good vibe to the place. I suppose I should mention the arithmetic... More

Lazy Lizard oozes charm... from the gorgeous paintings on their walls and the roaring fireplace (in winter time) to the table settings and local products on sale in the restaurant. I have returned to Lazy more than once for their amazing apple pie. I firmly believe the word "amazing" is a gross understatement. Lazy Lizard has the best traditional apple... More

We visited this little restaurant several times and enjoyed a fabulous breakfast with friends under the trees in the garden. On another time we had tea and scones - simply delicious! They also have art works to view and for sale, and baked bread and rusks etc. Really lovely.

We had a lovely light lunch with two of us having the spinach and feta quiche and two the salmon salad. All the meals were delicious and freshly prepared. The homemade lemonade is also worth trying. The waiters were helpful and very friendly.

Our son enjoyed a delicious Hawaiian pizza which was topped generously with lots of bacon and fresh pineapple. My husband and I shared a platter abundant with cheese, lamb pieces, chicken and pickles served with freshly baked bread. Most satisfying fare. There is also a toy corner to keep the little ones busy which is always a blessing to parents.
