OK, but a bit expensive

Surprised how expensive it was but portions of fish were bigger than expected. Not sure why it took so long to get the bill.

Absolute disappointment... went for breakfast Sunday morning at 10am, sat around waiting for 30min without any acknowledgement or service. When I finally got hold of a waiter I was informed that this wasn't his section...The table behind us was also complaining loudly about having to wait for their food. When I spoke to the manager on duty, Ian - he... More

lovely setting. Great menu. Good food. Great staff, but overworked, so service was a bit slow, not due to the waiters, but due to the fact they seemed short staffed. Loved the outing. Will return.

We enjoyed dinner at sunset outside on the upper deck, and to our surprise, live music as an added bonus. The views and sounds of the bay are alluring, the casual deck lends itself to that, but the food was also very good for the price. The prawns were perfectly done, and after a month of traveling, my husband was... More

We arrived at this restaurant after walking along the beach on a very windy day in January. This place had the best priced seafood we found during our holiday in SA. The fish and chips and the Kingclip and prawns were fabulous. The atmosphere was also good and it wasn't packed at this time so it would be even better... More

On our last evening in the Cape Town area we went to the Lookout with a friend who lives in Hout Bay and told us about the restaurant and its fresh fish and seafood. We were not disappointed! Our tuna was absolutely fresh and perfectly seared. In addition we liked the harbour view very much.

My wife and I went for lunch at Lookout Deck Hout Bay on Saturday 7 Feb 2015. We were left unattended quite long (the restaurant was busy but still no excuse). I ordered fried hake & chips (I was quite sure that for R95 this would surely be a cut above the ordinary F&C). However, my expectations took a real... More

Arrived for an early lunch at 12:30pm today and bagged a table overlooking the sea - yachts bobbing up and down on the water, perfect views across to Chapmans Peak and seals playfully swimming and generally putting on a show for us diners. Back to the food, what can I say, this place has been a favourite for years and... More

The weather was great, the location is great, and there were seals playing in the water between the boats moored in the harbour. The service was good but slow to deliver. The wine list could be a whole lot better. It's not too difficult to have a better selection considering wine is made close by. The food was average, not... More
