We sat near the window area, which gives you a sweet view of the moored boats outside. We first ordered our drinks (non alcoholic for my cousin and i) We also had the Karoo lamb burgers and the grilled Kingklip fish. You can taste that the food is fresh and well made. The place is not expensive and offers good... More

Watching the seals in the harbour is one of the things to do in Hout Bay. We had lunch in the Lookout Deck Restaurant. The venue is basic, the restaurant very crowded and noisy with some groups having their X-mas parties. The service can improve a lot, we had to wait a long time. Also the food did not meet... More

Don't let the beautiful view or lavish decor fool you. I recently had a team building at the restuarant and being the only Muslim, the restuarant confirmed and agreed they would allow me to buy my own food and join my team inside the restuarant. I used none of the restuarant's cutlery, crockery, etc but got charged R75 at the... More

The lookout deck restaurant in Hout bay offers a wonderful culinary experience. The food is exquisite, the fish is fresh, perfectly cooked. The desserts are decadent! Waiters are firndly. You can watch the seals playing around through the bay windows. During harsh heather, I am told that the sea hits the windows and makes a great show. try to book... More

this used to be our favourite place to eat when in Hout Bay. Unfortunately standards have dropped so low that we will be giving it a miss after one of the worse meals ever. possible still nice if you just want calamari and chips but the seafood it was famous for is missing. Many more great places to eat but... More

The restaurant provides the ideal setting for a lunch or late afternoon drinks as it has a nice vibey pub area and also a more quiet dinner area for people seeking a bit of isolation, yet the view of the harbour remains visible from all angles. The food is simply delicious! Will definitely visit every time we go to Hout... More

Located directly in the harbour. Deck over the water with a nice view. The staff very friendly and helpful. All of us had seafood (pizza, calamari steaks,..) and it was delicious. It was a little bit cool inside because the wind came just through the floor. The interior is very simple, but fits into the scenery. Parking only a few... More

The food was disappointing. The service was terrible. It was noisy. After our starters we asked for the bill and to leave the mains.

Several of our culinary friends, knowing that we frequent Mariner's Wharf quite frequently have advised that we should visit a near neighbour Lookout Deck. What a setting! Like being on a boat! First count for view and ambiance: Lookout Deck. Being a rainy day not many tables occupied and we found on right next to the sea. Absolute beautiful. For... More
