Great location. Good value for wine but we generally eat elsewhere. The band on a sunday afternoon makes for a great afternoon out. Curious seals plop up and down outside.

Only visited Hout Bay for a short time but glad we had lunch here. Were welcomed straight in and quickly given a table despite it clearly being a very busy day. Head waitress was fantastic as were all the other staff. Food was very good and the views here are amazing. Get a table right near the water to take... More

The view across the bay to the mountains through the swaying masts of the moored yachts is wonderful. The service was great, the only thing that let it down was the food. My meal was very average. The prawns were flowery and greasy, the salad limp. My wife’s had a pizza and this meal was very good. well worth a visit,... More

The position is excellent, particularly when the weather is good. This allows one to sit on the wooden deck, which extends over the water. The glass surround shields one from all but the strongest Southeasters. Before you are an array of yachts, and the fascinating activities of a harbour. But the batter was developed by the tank corps, and the... More

Just had dinner at the Lookout Deck. Ordered the calamari and catch of the day (cod). Had to send the plate back after the fish was raw inside, and the calamari was rubber at best. The second plate's fish was much better but no improvement on the calamari. Waiter was good, and stayed close to make sure I was happy... More

We just made the 11 am deadline in time to choose from the breakfast menu. The eggs benedict was very tasty. The hot breakfasts all come with juice, fruit salad and coffee. Well worth it.

We had a very relaxing afternoon eating fish and chips while watching the seals playing right in front of us. Later the fishermen arrived with their catch and feed the seals with the rest of their bait. The kids of course loves that. The service was good and when it gets cold there is gas heating. Setting is good, service... More

Lovely setting and good service but at the price I felt some of the meals just did not provide good value as I had the fillet of beef with crushed potatoes but no vegetables. The Tuna fish was very good though a smallish portion and while the fish and chips is also good it was a little over priced. The... More

Best fish and chips in Cape Town that we have found. This place has friendly, helpful staff and lovely views of Hout Bay Harbour. It's great to see the Seals and watch the boats and yachts. There's a lovely jazz trio that play on Saturday afternoon too. Highly recommended.
