Description: The Valley of the Huguenots is one of the premier wine destinations in the...
The Valley of the Huguenots is one of the premier wine destinations in the world. It is here that the Maison Estate produces wines that are nature's product, honed with skill, care and respect. Each vine is nurtured, each grape hand selected to give it that personal touch that is always home, always Maison. We make highly individual wines. We drink them with the people closest to us - and we love drinking them at home, where we can really explore the intimate character of each bottle," says Weylandt. "While travelling is my passion, the comforting memory of a meal, of intimate moments shared with good friends over good wine, always draws me home." This is Chris Weylandt's inspiration behind the name Maison - the French word for house. Explore Maison Estate. You won't regret it.

Arrived here on the wine tour and were immediately up-sold and mis-sold a '5 wine taster with platter'. Although the wines were very good, 2 of them were actually part of the free taster and the platter was nothing short of an embarrassment at 75rand. We'd just had a fantastic 100rand platter from Rickety Bridge which was enough for 4... More

We visited on a Saturday afternoon. sat outside under a clear blue sky (wonder if that could be made to order). We were served a complentary chenin blanc very quickly.... really excellent. The waiter was informative without being overbearing. We opted for wine tasting and the deli menu. .... very well presented. extremely tasty food, reasonable sized portions.... along with a... More

The restaurant is tastefully decorated, simple with a rustic-chic vibe to it. The food is pretty average and overpriced for what you get though, the octopus was quite chewy and plain and the beef tartar nothing special, wine was ok.

Lovely food combinations, side pickles and brussels sprouts with bacon a must with any main. As the name says the Kitchen, you feel welcome and very cosy and the food is out of this world. Service also outstanding.

We enjoyed a morning wine tasting and fabulous lunch at Maison. The setting was beautiful and quaint. For lunch, we shared the charcuterie plate, chips and an amazing tuna entree. I highly recommend spending a few hours here, enjoying the scenery and decor of Maison.

Five of us chose the Kitchen for lunch on a winery touring visit to Franschhoek and we were all absolutely delighted. We chose the more formal dining option for a classic longer dining experience, although there was also a casual kitchen larder table option for lighter meals in a communal environment. The food was superb with every dish from the... More

This could have been better. Not a good experience. Not for families with small children. Maybe better for adults. But a bit pricy compared to what you get. But friendly staff.

Had the privilege of going with a superb chef that took charge and ordered for the table. Everything beautifully plated and amazing flavour combinations. Truly an unforgettable day!! The grass in front with the view really promotes a relaxed day and atmosphere while you enjoy crazy good food

We followed the EatOut recommendation and went to the Kitchen at Maison for lunch on our Franschhoek trip. Set in a beautiful, modern and simplistic designed building you find this little pearl of a restaurant. We had three courses and started with the Abalone (fantastic daily special!) and the crayfish. We continued with the Jacks and the braised beef shoulder... More
