We'd heard alot about this restaurant and was recommended to have lunch at the Glenwood estate. The views were spectacular and we did the wine tasting first. However it was a bit of a little inconvenience in that we weren't able to place our orders at the restaurant and had to shift over to the restaurant section a few meters... More

Most people come here for the wine tasting and miss the opportunity for a peaceful and plentiful lunch with a view under the trees. Everything is prepared to the same standards as the Bon Vivant in town but the setting here is so much nicer. And of course the wine is superb.

Shared platter of snacks after wine tasting. Was charged R100! couldn't believe it for two mush balls, one spring roll, a few olives, couple of corn chips and a few slivers of biltong. Couldn't afford any more so went away hungry.

After an average meal at Grande Provence & an ok meal at Pierneef's @ La Motte what an absolute fantastic experience. The wine was excellent & the food even better. The chocolate fondant dessert was the best. Loved every minute & can definitely recommend the new improved restaurant

Having been a faithfull visitor to the main restaurant in town we were very anxious to experience Pierre's latest venture, suffice to say that we were not disappointed. The setting is absolutely perfect, the food up to Pierre's high standard (he keeps a close eye) and Glenwood's wine exellent, especially their Chardonnay. Sitting under the big oak trees on a... A moderate drive through the valley to the south of Franshhoek end out onto a very large and successful winery. With both outdoor and indoor dining tables it is a rewarding experience to sit in tranquility and experience a selectively short menu of carefully prepared dishes to a high standard. Of course the wine list is impressive and the wines... More

After the Japanese disaster that was Okama, Bon Vivant do a much better job. The setting is marvellous and the winery is our favourite anyway. On two occasions we had the tasting with the food, which is a nice way to do it. The spicy dishes are better than the bland risottos, but the wines remain the stars of the... More

The Tripadvisor listing is very confusing, Le Bon Vivant has nothing to do with the previous Okamai, these reviews should be ignored. We have been 3x for lunch now to Le Bon Vivant at Glenwood. The menu is very nice, there are tiny portions, small portions, and normal main course portions. The prawn lasagne is very tasty, the crab wontons... More
