This was our 4th stay and it just gets more special with time. We had a 2 bedroom cottage, with a fantastic living room and glass kitchen, where I felt like I was actually in the garden. The manager and staff are friendly without being overbearing, nothing is ever too much trouble. We had 4 days of rain - which... More

You need to really set aside time to visit the gardens before you eat at Babel. Only then will you appreciate what has gone into your meal. A limited menu of only the freshest ingredients, all grown on site or sourced from their suppliers, changes regularly. Food is beautifully presented and tastes are sublime. Portions look generous, but the bulk... More

My husband and I visited Babylonstoren for the 4th time and only tried the Greenhouse restaurant for the first time. It was always quite full before so we didn't wait. It was just one of those lovely winters days when the sun is out and you just have to get up and go somewhere to enjoy the little sunshine. We... More

This is an experience not to be missed! The setting of the restaurant is gorgeous: beautiful gardens of Babylonstoren with mountains all around. The meal simply could not have been better. We were a group of four foodie friends and we all agreed it was one of the best meals we have had anywhere in the world...and we are lucky... More

if you ever wonder where to go and looking for that special place? Do me a favour and visit this beautiful wine farm with the most beautiful gardens. You can spend hours just walking in these lovely surroundings. THere are 2 restaurants with the greatest selection of food. Interestingly most of the vegetables and fruit are harvested there! And then... More

This is a special place! You need to put aside 2-3 hours to walk through the extensive gardens, pat the donkeys, have an ice tea and look through the deli and craft shop. Loved it!

We had lunch today at the Babel restaurant at Babylonstoren. I was so impressed by the friendliness of everyone on the farm starting with Warren at the gate entrance (and yes, they all wear name badges which is a lovely way of personalising the service) to the garden workers to the staff in the restaurant. Even the woman who took... More

We have had the pleasure of attending a wedding at Babylonstoren and it was absolutely magnificent. We have also eaten at both the restaurants and both in their own way are fantastic.

The main restaurant at babylonstoren is over rated So much has been said - expectations are high so when one goes there one expects a high level of service, scrumptious foods etc. the high entrance fee is not necessary when paying high rates at the restaurant. The positive side - the gardens are beautiful.
