Wedding

We have had the pleasure of attending a wedding at Babylonstoren and it was absolutely magnificent. We have also eaten at both the restaurants and both in their own way are fantastic.

The main restaurant at babylonstoren is over rated So much has been said - expectations are high so when one goes there one expects a high level of service, scrumptious foods etc. the high entrance fee is not necessary when paying high rates at the restaurant. The positive side - the gardens are beautiful.

I had lunch at this winery today with a few friends based on a recommendation. We had two bottles of Shiraz that were delicious. The lesser expensive of the two was my favorite, but that's just personal preference. The lunch was great, had the lamb shank special. All of the menu items were from the winery grounds which was extra... More

My experience at Babylonstoren today is really hard for me to put into words. My mind is totally captivated by the experience I had this afternoon and it feels totally wrong to describe it as one of my favorite places I have visited in a while, but let me try nonetheless. My afternoon started off with lunch at Babel. The menu... More

Got to Babel at around lunch time and we choose to sit outside, gorgeous autumn weather. Babylonstoren wine sublime, we had an awesome lunch, from salads that the ingredients come from the garden and the food is fresh and seasonal. The fish was just perfect and their homemade bread with the pear inside (no words) except I drool now and... More

This estate needs to be experienced! From the wine tasting, Farm produce, Vegetable garden (massive) to Babel the restaurant it is a great experience. The restaurant takes all its ingredients and produce from their own big fruit and vegetable garden so freshness is the key! The menu is very unusual the way it is written and the descriptions of the... More

Wow. What to say about Babylonstoren. This place is fantastic. We were able to fit this place in as our lunch stop on our full Winelands day tour. So glad we did, and we understand why it came highly recommended to us by more than just a few people. If you have the chance you absolutely must visit this place.... More

We love this restaurant - or the seasonal food, the creativity and different combinations they come up with. The wine of course is also superb and the setting is bright airy with stunning views all around. One of our all time favourite places.

Beautiful restaurant and ok food, a bit too lame flavour wise for me, beautiful to the eye, yet boring for the palette. The service was good, as for waiting staff, and also head management, however the middle management needs to learn from the others. We had made reservations via our hotel a couple of months ahead, or so we thought,... More

If you get the chance to go to Baylonstoren make sure you book the guided tour as this is just the icing on the cake as it enables you to understand what lies behind this fabulous garden. Without it you would miss so much
