This entire winery is so gorgeous. If you only have ones day in the Stellenbosch/Franshhoek area this is the place to visit! Adorable set up. Feels like your in a small village. The restaurant was delicious and the service impeccable. Be sure to walk the gardens and vineyards afterwards and visit the Farm Store.

There is always an expectation when you eat on one of the most talked about restaurants in South Africa. We were greeted with warm hugs ( yes I know the staff quite well as I got married there 2 years ago) by some of the service staff. Jonathon was our designated waiter so I knew that we were going to... More

This is part of the Babylonstoren estate but is not the main restaurant and offers a different food service, waitress service, but salad and sandwiches The offering is great for someone who has spent the morning wine tasting and in the need for some good wholesome food. Sitting out in the garden - having a quiet munch on good food... More

Getting a reservation at Babel takes time but it is absolutely worth it. We were lucky to have a clear and bright winter's day which means we could admire Bablyonstoren at her stunning best. Babel is a great dining space - light and spacious, it is tastefully styled and the atmosphere was lovely. The salads are absolutely incredible - unusual... More

What seems like a great concept - fresh produce picked from their garden - doesn't quite translate to a great food experience. Entree choices were Red, Yellow or Green, obviously following the current trend of serving monochromatic food. I had Red which looked beautiful but some of the flavour combinations just didn't work, and the Green was lacking in flavour.... More

Amazing, healthy and wholesome food, in an amazing setting at the Green House restaurant. So many things to do/see and a great way to spend an afternoon!

We couldn't get into the formal restaurant because you have to book so far in advance, so we went to the casual dining outdoor restaurant. The food was superb and reasonably priced. I hear the restaurant is better. Almost all food is grown on the property in ecologically responsible ways. The taste is outstanding, and it's great to tour the... More

Excellent simple food at the Greenhouse. Might take a little long it getting to the table but it is worth it. The gardens are in immaculate condition and worth a repeat visit.

Not just for wines, not just for food...this farm in itself is an event!! We got to know their amazing wines at a recent wine exhibition in Johannesburg. Little do you know that their wine is just one aspect of this magnificently, well managed and well appointed showpiece. Be aware that there is a nominal entrance fee per person, however,... More
