Make sure you eat lunch before exploring the dinner and wine pairings in this quaint restaurant. You will definitely have a buzz by the end of this gastronomical voyage. Small portions and many glasses of South African wine envelopes this 3 to 4 hour dining experience. A bit pricey but, definitely worth voyage.

In this place guest are treated with no respect whatsoever ! Nothing is done to make your stay nice ! It is all about paying and getting nothing, no even a smile. The food is a gourmet wannabe style and really not worth it ! If you never be to a French restaurant and never been to France maybe you... More

My wife and I managed to get a table at short notice. We chose to go for the 5 course wine pairing menu. What a treat, makes you wonder why some Michelin Star restaurants even have a Star. An absolute dining experience and the opportunity to taste some amazing wines from the region. The staff were increibly polite, well trained... More

Advertising indicated that this was one of the best restaurants in the world. Ludicrous. The taster menu was good, certainly, but I have had far better in Michelin starred restaurants in the UK.. Their policy of giving two dishes amongst our party of four for several of the courses seems very strange - passing plates and dishes across the table... More

We managed to get a table at The Tasting Room at short notice (I enquired the day before) as there had been a cancellation so worth trying if you haven't booked. We went for the tasting menu without wine pairing and ordered our choice of wine (total bill £140). We got slightly different courses between the 2 of us and... More

The bar-and-tapas small sibling of the Tasting Room. Nice inventive offerings with solid local wines. Sterling service and good for the kids too.

Main road location. Very busy for lunch. Very good food. Could do with an extra waiter or two in the busy hours.

We ate at the tasting room for the 8 course surprise with wine pairing, the room the food is served in is certainly uninspiring, wooden tables with no linen and bland surroundings. The staff certainly buy in to the theatre and are very attentive and obviously think their renowned Chef is the "special one"! Whilst we did enjoy some of... More

Our favourite restaurant of South Africa and one of the best we have been over the world. Make a reservation well in advance (at least 3 months) for the tasting room and be amazed. A 9 course meal with wine paring. Amazing food influenced and cooked with local ingredients, great service, amazing atmosphere a must when you are in Cape... More
