We go to Cafe Bon Bon on a regular basis. We enjoy the surroundings, the food is great, and the staff is friendly and professional. We love the place because we can take our well travelled and good behaved dog with us. I wish there were more upmarket places like Cafe Bon Bon in South Africa where well behaved animals... More

Nice stop for breakfast. Peaceful and good food at reasonable price. Super views of mountains and Paarl surroundings

Went for dinner with friends on a visit from the US. Total disappointment. Ordered calamari starter, it arrived cold and had no flavour. Thank goodness there were only four tubes on the plate! The artichoke starter was out of a tin and totally artless. The porcini pasta was an overcooked stodgy mess. Felt sorry for the lovely waitress- only good... More

Gorgeous farmhouse kitchen style restaurant, with even Hendrik, the rooster, strutting about between the tables. Lovely outside area too in a beautiful country setting. Breakfast was well prepared and offered at unusually low prices compared to some of the other establishments in the area. The Eggs Benedict with local smoked trout was oustanding!

WE WERE STAYING IN THIS AREA LATE AUGUST AND WAS RECOMMENDED HERE BY TRIP ADVISOR, SO HAPPY i READ ABOUT IT. We went for dinner on a cold winter evening and was warmly greeted by delightful staff and manageress, and shown to beautiful table near the log fire. Ambience of this place is second to none , as is the... More

I had my farewell lunch here with family and friends. A lovely setting that has lots of heart, soul and character. The food was delicious; the pork belly a must, the staff friendly and a memorable time had by all. I will most definitely return for a visit which can’t come soon enough!

I popped in for lunch and chose the cheese board. What a disappointment! It was more of a biscuit board with four small pieces of cheese, goats, blue and what I think was supposed to be camembert and brie. It would have bounced off the wall if I had thrown it! No excuse when Franschhoek is surrounded by fabulous local... More

Dear Miranda We are so sorry to hear that you were disappointed, but we always value any feedback for our valued clients. We had a fresh look at your cheese board and decided to no longer use, as you put it, “fabulous local cheese maker” situated on the R45 near Klapmuts. We have also brought it under the cheese makers... More

Francshhoek is a picturesque town steeped with heritages. The drive from Cape Town is easy and and surrounds beautiful with the most stunning views of the mountains. The vineyard is stunning with Cafe Bonbon situated within the vineyard. The old buildings used to create the setting is awesome. The food exquisite and the wine delicious. The food and wine is... It was a cold and dreary Friday night in the valley and I opted to go out to Café BonBon. I had heard good reviews but nothing prepared me for the magic that was yet to unfold... The restaurant was warm with an intimate setting, I ordered the pork belly and crème brulee... my, my, my!!! It could have been... More
