I was very excited to return with my family to La Petite Ferme in July. Having eaten there in January I listed it as one of my favorite dining experiences. Unfortunately, it was not what I had raved about. The food was quite limited in what I was able to eat (not eating red meat) and the three dishes my... More

When ever we stay over fro a long weekend in Franschhoek we always find ourselves eating Sunday lunch here. It's a great place to bring the kits weather permitting there is a large area of grass for the kids to play on whilst you are enjoying the great view over Franschhoek with a glass of some fine wine. The food... More

My husband and I attended the fabulous 11.00 wine tasting tour given by the 'patriarch' of Le Petite Ferme (who built the restaurant and planted the vines), followed by lunch. The tour and wine tasting were informative, fun and charming. The lunch was relaxed with beautiful views, excellent service and fabulous food. Highly recommended!

The menu was a bit adventuresome and the food delicious. My daughter had Springbock and I had Kingklip. The view of the vineyards and mountains was lovely.

We had a really yummy lunch here. After spending the morning wine tasting & finding the La Motte restaurant closed, we came here. Turned out to be a blessing in disguise because the food was really good. It tasted great and was so pretty to look at. I definitely recommend it.

We took our teenage girls, and they loved the very informative tour. They were even allowed to taste the wines, much to their disgust :) A great overview of the vine-to-bottle process and the various factors that effect the taste/aroma/alcohol content of the wine. Fabulous view down the valley, too!

The service and food were excellent. We were able to sit out on the porch where the view of the vineyards was spectacular.

Has a good reputation but can be let down by poor service. We were told that the soup of the day was Minestrone but when it came it had Mushrooms and Butter Beans in it! The table behind us were then told it was vegetable. The waitress seemed miserable and struggled to smile, The main course of beef fillet was excellent.... More

Tasting the wines around the Franschhoek will make you hungry.... our guide suggested we try La Petite Ferme (his original suggestion was closed - and I am glad it was!!). The service was fantastic... The setting and the views were wonderful.... we ate outside! I had the pâté for starters and the lamb special...and the chocolate mousse dessert... Wonderful all... More
