Galaxy of Textures will have any chocolate lover weak at the knees

The ambience is a stylish, industrial space, with an outside area beneath the enormous acorn tree. Start your visit with a wine tasting and have a look around at the art gallery. Chef Darren Badenhorst serves modern food bursting with flavours and textures

I never write reviews and normally just try to forget bad experiences but feel I need to let fellow patrons know of our experience as I went to this establishment on reviews. We were looking forward to be in the gastronomic capital of South Africa after many years. We read about Grande Provence and looked at reviews. Of all the choices... More

Recently had lunch at this lovely venue. Excellent and friendly service. Food was interesting and good- not always easy to achieve, but they do it very well. Their wine is good, too. Don't go if, like the table of tourists next to us, you want to share a hamburger and drink Fanta Orange! How they ended up there I cannot... More

During our recent stay at the Owner's Cottage, we dined once at the restaurant. The restaurant itself is very elegant and stylish and creates the ambience you would expect at such a location. While choosing our meal, we seemed to offend when we didn't take up the offer of assistance with the menu and wines. Service was noticeably perfunctory after... More

What I enjoyed here was there were various wine ranges we could taste. We decided to try their budget range of Angel Tears wines. We tasted four wines and being cheaper wines priced at about R35 were surprisingly good. We particularly enjoyed the red blend. I would have like to have some cheese or savory options to accompany the wine.... More

The domain, its gardens and sculptures are very classy and beautiful! The interior of the restaurant is very stylish. The quality of the food is high but not consistent. The service was poor and not attentive. They forgot a fork, a plate fell on the floor, forgot to clean up crumbs after the main course and one server (a man... More

We had lunch on a sunny winter's day under the giant oak tree. Spectacular. Service. Wine, Food imagination and thought. Spectacular. Thank you for a memorable and truly special experience. Loved it.

Our 4th or 5th visit to Grande Provence, hopefully this was just a temporary slip. The Good: Lovely location as usual, sunny winters day with the fires going inside. Main courses were tasty, deserts delicious. The Bad; Service was poor, had to ask for drinks very often (4 times for 1 glass of water being the worst), we were never... More

We enjoyed a fantastic winetasting experience with great service from Francis. She was very informative and friendly. I would recommend a stop here for each and everyone passing.

On arrival it is obvious that a lot of time and effort has gob=ne into to gardens with their impressive statues and overall appearance. Sadly this improvement is not reflected in the offerings from the restaurant side of the establishment. To start they had mixed up the actual booking, preparing a table outside when specifically requesting an indoor table due... More
