We had a private dining experience in The Jonkershuis with some friends, and were treated to a delectable lunch! The menu had some very interesting starters, mains and desserts, some that I had never before seen or tasted- A feast for the distinctive palate! The waiters were very professional and discreet. We enjoyed the lovely room, which was warm with... More

I have visited this farm many times, because it is so elegant, stylish and beautiful, but unfortunately my last visit was really disappointing. The wine tasting was poorly presented and there was only one guy outside to help all the guest with the tasting, unfortunately this ended up in really poor service. I don't believe I will revisit in a... More

We stumbled upon this gem without plan to but what a pleasant find! The setting is pure beauty, especially in the early afternoon when the sun is starting to dip through the giant plane trees. The menu offers sophisticated choices, and the dishes we had were delicious and executed to perfection. The GP Sauvignon Blanc wine was the best we... More

My husband and I were staying in Franschhoek with our S. African friends and they brought us to this restaurant because they had eaten here before and really liked it. We really enjoyed sitting outside in the courtyard and our service was good. We just weren't crazy about the food. It was very "designer" which means fancy descriptions and artistically... More

We ended up here purely by accident over lunchtime. Great service and exceptional food. Not the cheapest but worth every cent.

As a published food writer in the states and a world traveler I've seen and tasted a lot of food in my life. I've been to the best in the world and unfortunately some of the worse. I'm not advocating that the Grand Provence Estate Restaurant falls into the category of the latter but it came close. Actually, it's one... More

The food at this restaurant is truly delicious, such a beautiful setting with great service. From starters to dessert, each plate of food was perfect. Someone at our table said it was the best cheese platter they had ever had. Even though this restaurant is fine dining it doesn't feel fussy or pretentious. Really wonderful experience.

We recently celebrated a special birthday in the Cape Town area and hosted a weekend of get togethers with friends who flew in from all around the globe. We wanted to end our weekend with a relaxed but beautiful lunch and for our guests to savour the graciousness that is found to abundance in South Africa when you know where... More

This is the main wine estate restaurante in Franschhiek (for me), but I sugest you to go ony for lunch, becouse with the sun all things seems better and at night the safe guard give us a bad way, no signals, only for don't disturb the slipiing big boss in their grand mansion. Ask for de Sea Bass, fantastic.
