Grand Provence is a food lovers must. The flavours emanating from our plates were titivating to both our noses and pallets while the presentation reflected that of the numerous beautiful artworks on display. Combined with a warm and snug atmosphere, great service and an exceptional bottle of Grand Provence Cabernet Sauvignon made this one of my best food experiences to... More

My partner and I had a wonderful evening in this tastefully decorated restaurant situated on one of the most beautiful wine estates in the Franschhoek Valley - living in Franschhoek ourselves we know the area and what it has to offer quite well. The ambiance of the restaurant is warm and intimate, with a very low noise level that allows... More

Our hotel suggested this venue for a meal and we were not sorry. The dining room was beautiful and the staff friendly and helpful. They thoughtfully spaced out the couples so we weren't next to each other. The stand out dish was the springbok loin. It was outstanding, tender and pink. We enjoyed all the little extras, especially the Quail... More

Grande Provence is an exceptional fine dining experience, a highlight of the Cape winelands, and a must do as a part of your Franschhoek experience. The food is high quality, French/European standard fine dining, combined with Cape warmth, atmosphere, style and inspiration for ingredients. We've eaten here several times, and the quality of the food and overall experience is consistent.... More

I had the privilege of being taken here on a date and it was exceptional. It was a rainy evening and there was a crackling fire keeping the restaurant warm and comfortable. We had an excellent waiter who was attentive but not overbearing and extremely friendly and down to earth. Because this restaurant would be considered a "fine dining" establishment,... More

It is not often that I take the time to write reviews on here. Being in the industry, this is somewhat shameful, however saying that, the fact that I am taking the time to write this review speaks volumes of the establishment and the experience had. Heading in to season and in much need for a break and spoil (and... More

Mostly tourists here, not many locals. Dishes are tiny. Have a five course menu and you feel more hungry than after a single dish in most places around here. Quality is good though. The bar next door is very inviting.

Ate here last week whilst staying in the Franschhoek area looking for potential wedding venues. This restaurant (and winery) had been recommended to us. On the positive side, the drive in, the surrounding grounds, and the various pieces of artwork in the gardens are lovely and at night there are oil lanterns dotted around which create a nice ambience. However,... More
